We all understand this place... lots of stuff, easy enough to find things mostly.. but seldom when needing help is anyone willing to help or even is around... customer service and checkout are generally very good though. Mostly mid-range products but some higher end
Unfortunately, our Canadian Tire store has gone down hill since Malcom left. They are in the middle of a renovation right now and the aisles that I’ve had memorized for the past 25+ years are now changed. The item I was specifically looking for was “in stock” but not in its “new” spot on the shelf. No one was interested in finding it for me and after going back four days in a row, I gave up and ordered it online. Now that experience is another story. Pretty disappointed in a store that used to be great.
I have to agree with other reviewers, this store has changed for the worse since Malcolm sold it. I made the mistake of booking service online, as per their advertising campaign. What is the point of booking a time, when I booked at 11am, I am still sitting here an hour later with no end in sight.nLast week I was looking for a product I had found online so I approached a young man in the automotive department to ask. He couldn't care less, sent me on a wild goose chase. After I returned to automotive he avoided me and disappeared in the back. I asked another, older worker who I recognized as being in the department for some time. Although the store is currently being renovated, and things are misplaced, he went the extra mile and somehow found what I had come in for. I dread when the last of these outstanding employees leave and they are represented by the young man who ran away after sending me on a pointless quest.
Not the biggest fan of BIG stores with huge chains. Would rather shop locally. But this store has much to offer and always tills available; also there was 2 service technicians on Sunday working!
I am a mother of 3, my son will start baseball within the next a couple of weeks. So we went to the store, looking for the baseball stuff, we got the baseball stuff and we looked around for some other things. And I felt like I had to go to the bathroom just before leave. I had no any canadian tires items on me at all when we walked by the security guard, he just pointed at the casher without words I don't know why. But anyway I went to the washroom with 7, 5year old kids & 4month old baby who was in a carrier, After got out, I saw a pink jacket lady walked by so fast, not went into the bathroom. After that, my husband told me that the security guard talked to her about the washroom. When we were paying, the security guard moved to the exit. And he kept looking at me. It made me super uncomfortable with kids. After we paid, the security guard left behind us to look at which vehicle we got into. This whole experience made me terrified, And my kid asked me that why the security guard kept looking at us and following us. I am honestly telling now. I have never ever unpaided nothing. I went to this store multiple times. Why do I have to worried about being with my kids at store and have such a terrible experience like this? Why I have to get treated like a criminal?
