Auto tire purchase. Using the sales alert on the web site really saved me a lot of money. The new system of online purchasing works great. The appointment went well and the service was as it should be. Good job kids.
I scheduled an appointment online through the Canadian Tire website for December 9 at 1 PM to switch to snow tires. When I arrived at the store today, I was told by their representative that I wasn’t booked, despite showing them my text confirmation. They were fully booked for the day and couldn’t accommodate me. While they did offer a slot next week, it doesn’t make up for the effort I put into preparing for this appointment—getting my tires ready and taking time out of my day.nnWhat’s worse, they didn’t offer any meaningful compensation, such as waiving the service fee, to make up for their mistake. After escalating the issue to corporate, the customer service representative over the phone provided a $25 credit toward Triangle Rewards, which is appreciated but falls short of addressing the inconvenience caused.nnThis experience shows a lack of accountability and respect for customers’ time and effort. Shout out to the Ralph, Steve and the manager at the Powell River Canadian Tire! We ran into a tire issue while on the road and they were able to accommodate us and get our vehicle into the shop quickly. Canadian Tire has an amazing policy of allowing dogs into the store which allowed us to take our furry friend with us while we waited for the repairs - a fact that was crucial given that we were on the road and it was 30 degrees out. The staff were knowledgable, efficient and very kind to our dog. Thank you for making what could have been a trip ending issue into a quick and easy fix!

I had such a horrible experience here, that it still haunts me after months. We stopped here on our way from Vancouver to a camping spot to get some necessary items. My friends went to the other side of the store and I was just about to start browsing and suddenly a guy from the staff practically verbally attacked me and threw me out of the store because I had a backpack! My Canadian friends though, didn't seem to have faced the same problem when I met them outside the store!nIt caused me such trauma and humiliation that I could never set foot in another Canadian Tire store since then!nI wish I had figured out the guy's name. He was a bald man wearing glasses. Worst customer service ever!
