Best Canadian Tire Store I have visited in my life.nnStaff was welcoming and attentive…store layout was open and receptive…product was organized and neatly displayed.nnI spoke with Joe, the GM, to tell him about my impression and he was proud to tell me the priority and effort they take to retain and train their staff. Based on the staff I spoke with, it is clear they walk the talk and care.nnCongratulations to this store and team.
I don’t usually leave reviews, especially for popular big Canadian brands but I had to take a moment to recognize the incredible help I received from Joe, the General Manager at the Canadian Tire location in Maple.nnI recently moved into the area. I came in with a problem that had been bothering me for a while a broken screw on my TV that I just couldn’t figure out how to deal with. I was honestly pretty stressed about it. Not only did Joe take the time to listen, but he also personally helped me fix the issue right there in the store. In a world where great customer service is becoming rare, Joe went above and beyond.I work in the service industry myself, and I can say with complete honesty that I have never experienced this level of care and genuine willingness to help. It wasn’t just about making a sale it was about actually helping a customer in need.nnIf there’s anyone deserving of recognition, it’s Joe. His leadership, kindness, and problem-solving attitude really stood out. Canadian Tire is lucky to have someone like him representing the brand.nnThank you again, Joe you really made my day.
We were helped by Sanjay in the car battery section. He was knowledgable and very helpful. Other sections are good too.
Avoid this store! unprofessional management and poor customer service.nnAbsolute joke of a store. My online orders were cancelled, and when I called, the person on the phone claimed that “Canadian Tire” had cancelled them. When I asked if I was actually speaking to Canadian Tire, he said he was the DM and that the store was “not owned by Canadian Tire” whatever that means and was very dismissive. After pressing him, he basically admitted, “We can’t fill an order this size,” and told me to buy from another store.nnWhen I contacted Canadian Tire and Triangle Rewards customer service, they confirmed that the store itself had cancelled my ship-to-store orders, citing “out of stock.” After escalating to the Executive Team & when they called the store and in what seemed like retaliation, the store reported me as a reseller!nnThankfully, the Executive Team helped me place new orders with another store, and those are now ready for pickup. They also emailed this store’s manager asking them to follow up, but I haven’t heard anything yet.nnBottom line: avoid this location. Work with other Canadian Tire stores that actually provide proper customer service and follow company policy.
1 star for asking to check my backpack at checkout. If you’re assuming your Canadian Tire customers are thieves then we won’t come back to your store. Also, why forbid backpacks and large bags and not purses? This can be interpreted as sexist, since men are more likely to have backpacks as opposed to purses. And what is considered a large bag? Spoke to the manager and he wasn’t helpful. This is the first time I encounter this at a Canadian Tire. Won’t be returning here.nnUPDATE: We called Canadian Tire central and they are looking into this.nnAfter reading the reviews, it seems I am not the only person who has had this experience.
