This Canadian Tire location is pretty much like any other across Canada. I went there for a tire issue, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. They only did a basic inspection, told me the tire needed to be changed, and charged me an inspection fee. They didn’t have the tire in stock and offered no real solution. I took my car to another tire shop, where they repaired the tire right away and charged me about one third of what Canadian Tire cost. Overall, not very helpful and poor value for the service provided.
Came here looking for tires, but the tire shop was closed for the holidays. They also didn’t have the tire I was looking for, even though the website showed it as available. I’ll likely order the tire online and have it delivered to a different location. That said, the store itself was clean and well-organized.
Do not bring your vehicle here!!!nnMy car broke down nearby, and because this was the closest shop, I had it towed here. I was told that I needed a new battery, alternator, timing belt, and alternator belt. Yet the actual issue was a snapped serpentine belt, something Canadian Tire apparently failed to identify from the start.nnTo be safe, after having the serpentine belt replaced, I took my vehicle to my trusted mechanic back home for a second opinion. They confirmed that I did not need a new battery, alternator, timing belt, or alternator belt.nnHad I agreed to all of the recommended work, I would have spent well over $1,000 on repairs that were not needed. This experience left me seriously questioning whether recommendations are being made in customers best interests, and how many other people may have paid for unnecessary repairs.nnI would strongly encourage anyone bringing their vehicle here to get a second opinion before authorizing major work. Better yet, save yourself the headache and take your vehicle somewhere else.
if you value yourself, your time, your money, do not go to this shop because they may cause you problems! They will force you to react with ugly and unprofessional behavior and they may call the police and cause you problems. So Today I went to the Canadian Tire store at 3200 Rutherford Ave to buy four tires for my vehicle and unfortunately I had a very Terrible and unpleasant experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff was unprofessional and bad behaviouralnnI explained that I needed a quote for four tires to the lady who asked me first about pick up order , so I said no she told me go over to another employee who was very rude and completely unprofessional. And I showed him a picture with the exact specs of the tires I wanted I attached the picture to this review , but even though I gave him the exact specs, She started asking me and pestering me with a bunch of unnecessary technical questions that I obviously didn't have the answers to. And she told me to go look at the specs of the car and tell me the type of tires, well, I felt like she was intentionally mistreating me and wasting my time. And she started the argument with me, so I got very upset. When the manager finally came, he helped me get the tires, but even he was indifferent and treated me with a mocking tone when I asked for a lower price.nVery terrible management.nnIn the end, I spent $1,435 there, but I left feeling disrespected and extremely dissatisfied with the overall service. This store really needs to train its employees on how to properly treat customers, because the way they treated me was completely unacceptable.
“I visited the Canadian Tire in Maple and had a negative experience with the white lady at the cashier in the automotive department. She was disrespectful and her tone came across as rude and dismissive. Customer service should be respectful and professional, and unfortunately this interaction did not meet that standard. I hope management takes steps to improve staff training and customer experience.”nI will say thank you to Giovanni the service manager for defusing the issue and calming things down. Also a little praise to the mechanic Santos who shows professionalism and great communication.
