This review is not based solely on one visit, but many over the years.nnI have never seen an automotive department move so slowly or be so poorly staff. There will be a line up 3 to 10+ people waiting in line with one or two employees to serve them employees who move slower then frozen molasses no matter the age. A problem made worse by the fact that the automotive department controls the doors for the bathroom. It's no wonder that my car came out worse for ware after a simple oil change, if the garage is anything like the counter. All I needed was an oil change, and my car 4 years old at that point came out making new noises, dirty vents and more.nnFurthermore, when on the floor, good luck finding an employee to help you, or at the very least not run you over with a cart because they are too busy looking at devices - either the store's device for inventory or their own.nnAnd can we talk about how they place their price tags? Making it look like some products are on sale when it's the one two shelves below? I'm young with good eyes and I have a hard time seeing the difference, what about people who have eye problems?? Or the fact that two identical items, with the sole exception being colour, have vastly different prices?? And yet it's the pink one, not the blue, that cost more?? Hello Pink tax!nnThis store's saving grace is their cashiers and customer service desk. Who always give excellent service. I just wish that the rest of the store was up to their measure.
This store is the best. A few years ago we returned an item that was accepted and refunded in Cornwall even though it was purchased at another Canadian Tire that denied the return. Today we received the difference from an item on sale this week but bought a couple weeks ago. The employees at Cornwall Canadian Tire customer service are the best. Canadian Tire has long been a staple one-stop shop in Cornwall. Every time I visit, I am greeted by friendly employees who are always eager to help. The departments are mostly easy to navigate, and the staff is knowledgeable, which makes shopping here a breeze.nnReturns are always quick and efficient, and I feel comfortable asking questions whenever I need guidance. While I have noticed that some aisles can feel a bit crowded, I’m usually able to find what I need with minimal frustration.nnAlthough I don’t typically use their garage services for my vehicle, I’ve heard positive feedback from others who have. This store offers a wide range of products, from car parts and accessories to plumbing supplies, hardware, and even children’s toys.nnCanadian Tire also boasts a large parking lot with accessible entrances and parking spots, and they provide carryout assistance if needed.
Horrible customer service wish I had gotten the staff member’s name, went to return a remote at the customer service desk today July 6th around 2:30-2:45pm I told the lady it didn’t work and asked if it would be going back on the shelf again, she told yes she would be putting it back on the shelf and said it was probably not compatible with my tv, I told her it wouldn’t even turn on , I had batteries in my pocket to show her it did not work and she ignored me. Gave me my refund but went and served another costumer before even finishing with me . Extremely rude and very unprofessional.
Plenty of staff walking around with their head in clouds but no one seems to be assigned to damn dept when you’re looking for something. They page someone who shows up. Fortunately I was headed to Ottawa and stopped at the Morrisburg store. Don’t waste your time in Cornwall !!
