This military museum has a marvelous presentation of materials from the War of 1812, the Boer War, WWI, WWII and Korea. It has vehicles, uniforms, and special areas depicting different aspects of Canadian military history. It is more than worth the price of admission. A gem in a small city.

The best Military museum around. Lots of stuff to look at and the staff are extremely knowledgeable. Great pricing for families. You can also get guided tours. Extremely happy with my experience and will definitely be coming back!

What a hidden gem! This is one of the most awesome museums that nobody's ever heard of. If you can find it (it's in an obscure part of Brantford, and signage in the town is somewhat lacking), you'll discover it is jammed to the rafters with all manner of artifacts ranging from early Native weaponry to modern day peace-keeping. When I say jammed, I mean JAMMED. It's not one of those museums that are long on vistas and short on artifacts. There is so much stuff here, and so much of it can be touched, it's incredible. The interactive WW I trench display will bring a tear to your eyes, as will the letters and photos of a WW II bomber crewman lost on ops in 1944. All around the walls are photos of local men and women who served in the World Wars and it's humbling to have them looking down on you while you walk about the place. It is well laid out, wheelchair accessible and very kid-friendly. Mr. Richard Shaver is the chairman of the museum, an excellent guide, font of information, and charming conversationalist. He clearly loves this place, and thanks to him, I do now too. There is even a reading room library of hundreds of books on military history topics that you can page through. In a town that is rich with history of all kinds this was an overwhelming experience. HIGHLY recommended.
