Felt like I wasn’t being listened to at this location by a few different employees at different occasions. Seemed like I was a burden whenever I wanted to try a different pair or size. If I’m spending a lot of money on good quality shoes I want to make sure I am making the right decision. Other locations I have had much better experiences but I would avoid the Adelaide street one
2021 Amazing experience! A young professional named nick provided service beyond my expectations. Thanks to him, I will never shop for shoes anywhere else. Made sure I had something that will work perfect for me. Update 2022: Returned recently for another pair and received some fantastic help from a young fitting specialist name Shelly. You really cant go wrong at Canadian Footwear
My dad told me how great Cdn Footwear was in Calgary so thought we would try in Winnipeg. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!! Similar experience to the reviews below - staff were busy chatting amongst themselves and continually interrupted our appointment to talk about their holiday plans with other coworkers. Totally ridiculous and Very annoying given we were tying to buy $500 worth of shoes. Did buy one pair of keens, but would rather have given our money to someone that was greatful for our business. Do not shop here.
Very disappointed with the service today. Asked to try on a pair of shoes and was completely dismiss, the guy helping me told me “I didn’t know what I was doing” and only let me try on shoes of his picking. He was completely and utterly rude.
This place is simply amazing. The staff are very nice and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. I very highly recommend and will be back.
This was hands down the WORST experience I have ever had trying to purchase footwear. The woman who "served" me at the Adelaide store was rude and dismissive. She would not take the time to listen to any of my questions or concerns, but just rushed through each box of shoes she brought out for me to try, without giving me enough time to get a proper feel for the shoe. True, she did spend a fair amount of time bringing out shoes for me, but that time could have been cut down and more productive if she would have used it to actually LISTEN to and ACKNOWLEDGE my questions and concerns, instead of dismissing most everything I said with a curt response. I also did not appreciate the cross-selling. Thanks to this experience, I will definitely not be returning to this location again. Seriously wish I could give this particular establishment no stars.
Good service....IF you can get an appointment. I've tried many times now, leaving multiple messages. It seems no one is ever at their clinic to answer the phone, or bothers to check their messages.
Overall, it's a pretty great place with knowledgeable staff. I've been coming here for years and the service and qaulity is mixed. It's definitely not consistent but when issues arise they do their best to rectify the situation. On my last visit i spent almost $600 dollars on 3 pairs of shoes. Two things that bothered me on my visit were: 1. The person was quick to answer with incorrect information on the specifics of the shoe i was interested in. Got the feeling they were just saying anything to sell the shoes. I caught them not listening to my questions attentively. And 2nd when i noticed the owner, i struck up a conversation with him and when i asked him if he was in fact the face of the company he immediately walked away from me, which was bizzare. Not exactly friendly or cordial. One thing i appreciate is that when i needed to make a return, I was able to return my item to a different location at my convenience, with no hassle.
Came in and got fitted within 15 minutes, they didn't have my size, so they ordered my sizes in for the 2 pairs of work boots, and they arrived within a month. Both fit perfectly, couldn't be happier with the courtesy and efficiency of service!!
Nicholas was so amazing to deal with. It was my first time being fit for shoes and I had been wearing the wrong size for years! Who knew?! He was knowledgeable and professional. He patiently brought me many styles and sizes until we had a few perfect pairs! I will highly recommend Canadian footwear and him in particular. I will definitely be going back for my summer shoes.
