After a two year hiatus because of the pandemic, The Ex is back! Of course, there is the strike of safety inspectors currently. As a result, out of an abundance of caution, we skipped the rides this year. Well, our five year old daughter is much too young for most of these rides anyway. The prices in the food building are outrageous. With inflation on a high, this was expected going in. We spent $56 on food and, as a group, we feel we didn't eat enough. Shopping wise, many merchants handle contactless payments. Some even accept American Express. Only a few accept cash only. Which is kind of silly as I am completely cashless and wallet-less. I'm sure I'm not the only one. Overall, a fun place to spend the day.
Came on Tuesday during the day til 8pm. Was a normal amount of busy. Not too crazy but exactly what you would expect. We went on around 6 rides. Tips: - 10” mozzarella stick is at Deep Fried in the food building. Beware they may not cook it enough and it will not be melted cheese. - Smash burger at The Gourmet Grill is dry. Has too much bun. - bring water bottle around to fill up at stations - get ride all day pass from someone that works at a corporate company for $20
Going to the CNE each year has been a staple in our family for many many years. I have enjoyed it every single year since I was a child and now my children love it as well. It is the highlight of the summer and was dearly missed during the last two years during the pandemic. This year was absolutely phenomenal with record turnouts and phenomenal food! Highly recommend could not say enough good about it! Love it love it love it!
Overall it was good experience! The event usually occurs couple of weeks before labour day and ends on Labour day. The place accessible via Public Transport, its right in-front of Exhibition Go station/ Tram station. There is admission fee for adults and Kids above 5. Event is so colourful with plenty of gameshows and wide variety of food stalls around. There are lots of amusement rides , like giant wheel, rope way, Air Show time specificas you move along, It’s a little pricey at the end but good experience towards end of summer season.
This is definitely the one of must try in Toronto , especially if you want to take out the family. Great place to visit and enjoy the rides and games outside, I personally love the international pavilion where you can absolutely find anything from any country. It’s great for shoppers who seek to find a special gifts and more…
It’s fun to try new food here. Some items are worth it like the jerk chicken, and the ice cream waffle. Some items are a bit of a rip off like the fried snickers and flavoured carbonated water. The best ride is the chairlift. The haunted house ride was the stupidest ride ever.
Went in Aug 2022. The first day of the fair was comparatively less crowded. All the rice lines were moving pretty quickly. There were lots of rides and the best was the one that rotates at the top. The food was mediocre and costly compared to regular restaurants. Must try in summer
Always a fun time going to the EX, pretty decent food all things considered just how many people are they’re for food, rides and so on. I haven’t been in 3-4 years so it was nice to go back again after it not being open for what the past 2 summers? If you’re a photographer like me you’ll just enjoy it all that much more just expect long lines so bring water & maybe food or eat before/in between rides
Great fair for every age. This year being the first year out of COVID, there is crazy crowd. So, expect huge long queues in almost everything. Best option is to buy the express access pass. There is also a casino and a beer garden inside. There are various events and music shows happening throughout the day. So, don't forget to check out the information booklet!
We had such a great time at the cne. There is truly something for everyone to enjoy there. Yes, it's busy and yes, it's expensive. If you come prepared for that you will have a good time. We visited on a Tuesday and arrived around 11am. We were able to get parking in the lot right across the road we lucked out from what I heard. It was $35 for parking. The line for the rides were almost non existent for most of the day. We were getting on rides within 5 minutes all day. However, once 5pm rolled in, it was pretty busy! I would recommend if you are able to go during a weekday, it is best in terms of wait times and traffic. Games averaged around $10 each. A blooming onion was $20. We walked through the exhibits and they were pretty cool. My favourite was the ride that took you through the park giving an aerial view.
