Georgia Scherman Projects (GSP) first opened in the west end of Toronto in the fall of 2006. Georgia Scherman Projects is one of Canada’s leading contemporary art galleries with a program recognized for its ongoing and challenging contribution to contemporary art discourse. GSP represents a cross-generational group of nationally and internationally active artists, from established to emerging contemporary names. Story
GSP aims to expose Canadian audiences to international artworks and artists, to encourage engagement with international arenas and developments, and to strengthen the context in which we present our gallery artists.

GSP encourages open dialogue between well-established artists and emerging talents in a variety of media including photography, painting, drawing, sculpture and video.

GSP incorporates other “projects” that go beyond our function as a traditional commercial gallery. Operating under the Kunsthalle model, GSP’s Projects are focused on promoting discourse within a broad art community
