Canadas Best Value Inn & Suites - Parry Sound

Oh man...ice cold pool, Luke warm and foamy hot tub. Told manager about hot tub and he said it was 95 degrees, I then told him it should be between 100-104 degrees...he then laughed at me and said that was boiling...lol...really??? Mold in bathroom, peeled wall paper, hard beds. So bad we cancelled our second night here. Oh and the TV remote worked other than you couldn't change channels. Couldn't change them through the TV directly either...had to watch an infomercial. Photos of the hotel posted on the website are extremely misleading...not even close to what they really are. Totally staged. Pretty sure any ratings over one star are done by friends or family of the owners...the absolute worst experience ever. Keep driving people...or sleep in your vehicle.

It is a challenge to rate this hotel... the staff are extremely friendly and helpful... what they need is a repairman to keep the hotel in good repair and some decent maid service to keep the rooms in Immaculate condition the way you expect to come into a room for the night... the kids absolutely love the pool and I understand how things break down like the hot tub but there were many things around the hotel that need attention... repairs and cleaning... I did mention this to the staff and I hope they put some real attention into the details to increase the ratings of this hotel because they are some of the friendliest people I have ever encountered working in a hotel...

Large clean rooms, friendly attentive staff. We were there for a hockey tournament with the team and had a great time. Large pool and great time had by all. Not sure what other reviewers are expecting for a budget hotel in Parry Sound. I'd go back again.

first...the room was not clean. The door safety latch was broke off...the card key did not work right either. Now the important stuff...the A/C was not the normal size one that you get for a room...they had put a window A/C unit in... The opening on it where the cold air comes out was about 5" X 8" What a joke! This would not cool down a closet more less a room!!!!!!! The Continental Breakfast was a joke too...about the worst one I have ever seen.

The hotel is extremely dated, and there seems to be very little effort in upkeep. The room was surprisingly OK (given my expectations were basically non existent), except for the paper thin walls, windows and doors which allowed for a very noisy sleep. People were slamming doors at 10:30 pm, chatting in the halls, phones were constantly ringing... I had to call the front desk and ask them to do something about it. There was no doubt in my mind the staff did not hear all this noise, but they just didn't do anything about it until I called. Literally, could not sleep due to constant noise. Breakfast was just a bunch of muffins in a box thrown on a counter. I was so disappointed, I just left and immediately checked out. Find another place to stay, the $115 room fee is not worth it. Worst night ever.
