We love camping here! The staff is amazing and you can tell they care about your experience! The grounds are always taken care of and the hiking and bike trails are beautiful and well cared for. Great place to recharge your batteries of life and enjoy all that mother nature has given!

Nice forest preserve camping. Even though outdoors camp sites are too far from wooded areas to be considered true camping. But area is well kept and well maintained including restrooms.

Well kept, well run campsite at the water's edge, with super helpful and friendly staff (ready to make sure you get your campfire going). There's a lot of hard landscaping around, and it's geared up for rec vehicles mostly, but still a great spot.

The large cabins are great for people who aren't "campers". There's heat, A/C, a bathroom w/a shower and two rooms. 4 sets of bunk beds in a large room and in the other bedroom 2 twin beds (no bunks) There's no fridge or stove, but there is a grate to swing over the fire for cooking. They give you one bundle of wood & you have to buy the rest there. It's $5/bundle. They rent kayaks, or you can bring your own. There are nearby trails to walk & you can navigate yourself to the Little Red Schoolhouse if you want. I saw people fishing, but no swimming. There is also a bathhouse and easy parking. There are sites for tents, RVs, small cabins that are bare bones, and large cabins. The Welcome center has necessities like fire starters, snacks and bug spray. The employees are great. They're very nice and helpful. A special thanks to Rhonda and Paul at the front office. They rock!

Nice, new, clean. Water is well and they say it's not drinkable but they'll gladly sell you bottled water. Only eclectic at sites, no water or sewer. $60 a night is absolutly outrageous.
