Calgary Passport Office

Went in a couple days ago to set up my first passport. Wait times were expected but I was in and out of there within an hour! Linda-Lee was absolutely amazing. So personable and lovely to talk with. It was worth the wait to have a sweet conversation while I knew everything was being taken care of! She made the experience so seamless. Thanks again!

On March 01, 2025, 2:45pm, We were applying passport for my daughter with disabilities. We were treated very rudely by the man manning the line and the lady from the far left window. I was asking politely who would need to sign the section she highlighted—only to be replied rudely: “did you read??????” I said - “ yes , that is why I wanted to clarify because I am unsure if I am correct with my guess as who would need to sign.”nnThen they started to complain that they are working hard on a “weekend”. Them, working on a weekend is not our problem. We were expecting their assistance because they were the ones working there!!! Very poor service!!!!!!!!

We were here on Wednesday afternoon, March 12, to submit three applications, two for new passports and one for a renewal. We were very impressed by the level of professionalism. Everything was completed in just over an hour. Both the triage officer, Kanta I hope the spelling is correct, and the service officer, Alex, were polite, friendly, efficient, and respectful.

Lined up at 7:50 behind 20 people. Doors opened at 8:30. I was seen by the first staff member by 8:36. Waited for the next person and was seen by a lovely man in room 13 and done by 8:50. Security was helpful too at the front and helped to store an article to free up my hands. Great service!!!! Thank you Sundance staff!

We arrived on a Friday afternoon and our total wait time was 1 hour for a passport renewal. All staff were super helpful and friendly. Things to note:n1 If you are getting a new passport, read the documentation required very carefully described on the online form you printed and filled out ahead of time. A number of people did not have proper Id or passport photos signed. The office does have a pre qualification queue lineup to assist with questions and requirements PRIOR to getting a paper number to process and pay for services.n2 Arrive no less that 90 minutes prior to closing. When we were waiting inside, people arriving were turned away. So, be early.nThe employee inside said it’s always very busy, and there are no slow times or days. Be prepared for 90 minutes total wait time. We were start to finish, 1 hour. Upon our arrival, there were 20 people in line outside. The outside and queue line does move at a good pace as a number of people don’t get past the first queue, or just have questions or picking up forms which occurs in the queue. Our waiting time was 15 minutes in the queue and 45 minutes after receiving a paper number to wait and be called up to a teller.nHope this helps everyone!!
