Cakes-A-Bloomin'

Called to order a simple gluten free strawberry cake for my 5 year old son's birthday. Mind you we are only a family of five so I thought this would be an easy order. My first time calling them. His birthday is in two more days so plenty of time for them to make it.They told me they could do a white cake only but could not guarantee the strawberry frosting would be gluten free. Not very friendly at all on the phone either. Wow! for an order so simple, I was shocked at how terrible they were. They sounded like they didn't want to make the cake. Well, they lost my business and can just sit there in their ugly building in the run down part of town for all I care. I think Kroger has what I'm looking for. - Edit- The newbie you just spoke about DID ask a manager and the "manager" who she was laughing with in the background didn't know either, if the frosting was gluten free. For a company that's been in business for so long, that was pretty unprofessional. Also, it was part of the reason why I was turned off by how everything was handled. My son and I have celiac disease and it's not something to laugh at especially when you have a business that advertises that you should call and ask about gluten free products and people are laughing at you over the phone.

Cupcakes were amazing! We had to pick up a few sugar cookies as well- very good. Staff was friendly and appreciated us coming by. Will visit again
