Great restaurant with a very nice view from most tables. Excellent for a family night out or with a larger group. Mexican specialties are a lot better than average. Cocktails are good though the mixers are a bit depressing. Nice selection of beers too. Main courses are definitely higher quality than the starters, which doesn't mean they are per se bad. Just a little greasier. Tortilla crackers are a true delight, and the salsa sauce as well as the hot sauce too!

My family and I ordered food today that kids eat for $1, which was not planned, but very nice. When we got the bill, I brought this up to the server, who quickly apologized and fixed the issue. It wouldn't be such a big deal, only that the menu says right on the front that Wednesdays are "Kids meals are $1. The food was overpriced and the salsa tasted watered down. My wife got an adult-size fajitas plate-4 pieces of chicken and 4 steak pieces and most of the pieces were fatty. My shrimp enchiladas were small portioned and was in close resemblance to the kid's menu. My child's fajitas were fatty as well. I get that the cost of food has gone up, but the quality has gone down. The service was just fine, the server was attentive and quick, and the wait for a table wasn't long. The picture was of my order. We paid for the scenery and the drinks- those margaritas were very good, but not the food. My oldest child said that another restaurant down in SLO county is much better than El Torito and is half the cost and the quality is much better. Kid-friendliness: The staff is friendly and polite. Parking: Paid parking, but you can get it vouched for at the end of your meal. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair access ramp

Definitely make a reservation online if at all possible, even if it's only a couple hours in advance. We waited about 45 minutes less than those who arrived simultaneously without a reservation. Food is great and fairly priced. Ocean view is beautiful and peaceful. Drinks are mostly standard with some fun creative additions. And even though I only mumbled a joke about it being my birthday but it really was, I got flan & a song.

Excellent Mexican restaurant. Most flavorful veggie fajitas I’ve ever had and decent price. Delicious margarita also good price and guacamole that they prepare freshly in front of your table we made our fajitas vegan by asking for no cheese/sour cream. Could use more vegan and veggie options, but everything was very high quality and flavorful. Staff were super friendly and kind. Would recommend and go again.

Amazing costumer Service, Luz was helping us out, she is so polite. I enjoyed my food and the view that the restaurant have. I really recommend this place to eat. Tasty food, very good drinks. Nice place to eat and visit.

Very tasty food and beautiful views of the water! We enjoyed the fajitas and everything served to us was delicious! Our Queso came out after our meal and our server gave it to us for free even though that wasn’t necessary. Good service and great experience.

The chicken taco salad are great and huge. Always love the ocean view, this one in Monterey has validated parking for their location. There's generally a wait but walk around outside and they'll text you when tables ready

Joseph was absolutely wonderful. One of the best waiters we ever had. Very patient and Explained everything on the menu. We got the $25 ultimate fajita dish that we shared between us and it was enough for two people. View is amazing. Couldn’t ask for more. Really nice experience.

Enjoyed the New Years Day brunch buffet. The buffer was unexpected and I’m so glad we came in. The food was amazing!!’ Everything was so good. The views were amazing and the service was excellent. Maria Cruz took exceptional care of us. Thank you for a great start to 2023! We will be back

We went for a vacation in Monterey and were looking for a good Mexican place. This place has good variety of dishes and drinks. We ended up going pretty late in the night and missed the beautiful Beach facing scene. Def recommend this for amazing Mexican food.
