Stopped in for lunch and ordered the Vegan Chicpea Sandwich for $8. It was packed with chickpeas with mustard, tomatoes, lettuce and alfalfa with pickles on the side. Reasonable prices, especially for being right in downtown. Great atmosphere - it's quiet, tucked away and has the feel of a restaurant even though it has a casual set up you order at the counter and there's no tipping. Update: tried the Mushroom and Leek soup soup of the day and it was full of chunks of mushroom and leek. For $6 you received a fairly large bowl with 2 slices of bread - great value!

Fancy looking cafe inside Simon's. You can get coffee, food, deserts and they all look pretty good. We got the latte and French press and the size and taste is great! They are $3.00 to $4.00 so not too bad. There are outlets for you to do work so you can spend some time here in a relaxing environment.

A hidden gem! Lovely quite place tucked inside Simons. The food tastes amaaazing, and very reasonably priced. On top of that, they are not expecting tips! I will be coming back for sure.

I got the simons burger for lunch! A little bit on the pricey end but tasted really good! Ideally would like it to be 6-7$. They also have well priced salads for anyone wanting to have a light meal

I had the briscut sandwich and a Mocha coffee, both tasted amazing but for the price the portioning felt off. I would still recommend it to anyone as a new place to try

As echoed in a lot of the reviews, this place is a hidden gem and absolutely worth stopping in for a bite. The portions are generous at the price points and the food tastes homemade and fresh - my favourite is the french onion soup. The decor is sleek mid-century, and the service is super friendly and prompt. I love going to this place after a quick browse through Simon's for a quiet, peaceful lunch. Highly recommend.

The perfect place inside Simons for a bite to eat. Loads of sandwich option. Do not forget to order the soup. They have a great daily soup. This is the perfect place to kick up your feet after shopping. They also have great coffee. Happy Eating.

Not sure about the bad reviews... Decor has a slight Mid Century Modern feel mixed with Nordic. Price was very frugal and service was courteous and excellent. Had the Breakfast Burger which was LOADED egg, burger, bacon, ham, white cheddar cheese; and had the French Onion soup with gruyere cheese, the onions melted and disintegrated in your mouth. Definitely would come back; beats the Core food court options. It's also in a quiet, intimate corner of Simons.

to be honest, the cafe is far better than what i had expected! i have a bias against department store restaurants & this was the best i had been to. the service was great, the staff went above and beyond. the food was inexpensive but certainly not bad. i had the rocket salad and a nitro cold brew. 5 stars for the employees ! wish i could tip !!!
