Lovely lovely place!!! It is so comfortable inside and out. It’s absolutely beautiful. The pastries are good and made with local products I’m told. The coffee is being worked out but it’s good. Just come with patience as they are learning. The environment carries the place in this moment. The outdoor patio is beautiful and we hear It may be available to rent in the future. What a great idea. It’s obvious the work that they have done here is extensive. Can’t wait to see It grow.
#instafamous - 11+/10 Feel the breeze of the river while taking your Coffee which is very good!. Delightful bakeries and the wonderful well designed atmosphere is completed with the best view on the Wakefield bay. You'll be able to see the Red Covered Bridge, people on the river SUP, canoe, kayak, etc. and live the peaceful vibe of the Village. This place is now part of my weekly routine. The new icon of Wakefield Village just arrived!
I’ve been to this spacious café quite a few times. Their food is always beautifully plated or bowled, well balanced, and the coffee is good. On occasion, someone will sit down at one of the two beautiful uprights and play a sonata or some improvisation. Service is not always amazing, but this a very new business, so I expect things to improve as the staff gain experience. The owners, who are almost always there, are friendly and seem open to constructive feedback.
Nice cozy place to grab a bite and some warm drinks while you're on an amazing hike or bike ride by the gravel trail. The staff is quite friendly and quite welcoming. The place is a heritage spot and has been part of the village for a long time.Food: 5/5
Fabulous new cafe in a historic building with the best views in town. For locals who know the building, the transformation is remarkable. Food also really surpassed my expectations - we had the muesli and the avocado toast which were both excellent and reasonably priced. It’s only been open for about a month so it is experiencing some growing pains. However the staff are trying hard, and the servers are really friendly. I encourage you to go, be patient and enjoy the experience. Definitely five stars in my book.
Gorgeous newly renovated cafe in a historical house with a stunning terrace and views. Food was delish, service was warm and friendly and Sebastian made an excellent cappucino. Def my new go to hangout in the village!
The food was fresh and excellent and was given in good portions. The service is very patient and accommodating. To demonstrate just how accommodating: I lined up to order a prepared drink and, after waiting for an eternity behind tourists who dithered as if they had never been in a restaurant before, was told they were all out of the mix. I was disappointed and sulked back to my table... But 10 minutes later the owner himself brought me the drink, having concocted it somehow from other ingredients, and it was not only excellent but "on the house." I haven't seen that attention to customer experience anywhere, at any price.
Good news for Breakfast and Lunch seekers in lovely and laidback Wakefield-on-Tenagadino, QC Cafe Earle, the welcome newest chapter in the long and colourful history of Maison Earle House has an eclectic menu to tempt your epicurean curiosity and please the discerning palate. Fine reimagineering of la grande Maison’s interior. Light, inviting and the varied seating choices present a reverse Goldilocks dilemma - they’re all comfortable. There’s also, weather conducive, dining al fresco on the patio overlooking the river. Or, in the shade of the trees and lee of the Cafe’s south-side, framing the restaurant’s restful to the eyes, green space mini-Central Park, certainement! An embarrassment of ‘where to park it’ possibilities. Wherever you choose, be prepared to sit a spell and savour the scenery. Lastly, but certainly not leastly - there’s the rejuvenated Earle’s personable and friendly staff - currently learning the choreography of the demanding restaurant service dance. Be patient, they’re young and they’re improving. Welcome back to the ‘hood Cafe Earle. Did I mention the delectable array of pastries and deserts? Plus two pianos! 176 keys waiting to be tickled... ; * .88 There’s always room for improvement, eh?
I don't know why I haven't been going here all this time. Food and coffee are excellent, and it's a wonderful space to enjoy them in. I look forward to checking out their music offerings in the nxt few months. Parking: Can be a bit tight..I hope they find a way to put in lot markings once the snow is gone. But by then I'll be getting there by bicycle!
Made a reservation of 15 people for my 30th, the staff went above and beyond making the booking & dinning experience delightful and effortless. This establishment is a must, when visiting Wakefield.
