Located in the Mequon Public Market. I had salmon tacos and my wife had al pastor tacos. Both were very tasty. The black beans and rice were an excellent accompaniment. The salsa rojo is super flavorful and the Verde packs a lot of heat. Service was good and the price was reasonable considering the location. Highly recommend.Food: 4/5
Do the people working there even like their job? Terrible experience. I had to delete my 5-star review because of the extremely rude waitstaff tonight, not just one, but all three of the people working. Who could be that abrasive to a customer for no reason? I came 40 minutes before they closed. No one else was waiting. I was the only person trying to order and get some food. The first person walked by and snapped some snarky remark after I said hi. The woman came over and took my order, acting like it was a HUGE inconvenience to explain the menu for 5 seconds after being treated like a burden for even trying to order. Part of a server's job is to explain the menu, cuisine, and be welcoming. I'm not that needy, and I just had a couple of questions. She basically tossed the menu on the counter in front of me and said, figure it out. I felt very unwelcome at that point. It didn't end there. I came back from washing my hands and was ignored while the third waitress asked people around me if they needed anything else. The guy that said some remark glared at me from across the restaurant and shook his head, acting like I did something wrong for going to the bathroom. I finally just left and told them to keep the food. I've eaten at hundreds of restaurants. This experience will be on the books as a low point in dining for me — a bad vibe at this place. How hard is it to welcome a customer that shows up at your business? Too bad, my first review was about the food and friendly people working there.
The food was very good, our server was excellent. This restaurant is in the public market and has seats at a bar only. Most patrons were enjoying a meal. We visited about 5:30pm on a Friday night. The service was friendly, fast, and attentive. They had a manager floating about making sure everything was flowing well. Nice job all around. I ordered the two taco meal pictured and the tacos were delicious I had chicken and pork. We each ordered a margarita and these were good as well. The rice on my plate arrived stone cold and the server offered to fix it immediately. I really wanted a chimichanga that night, but this is a small place and their menu is somewhat limited. When we sat down and ordered drinks we were asked if we wanted chips and salsa and guacamole, to which we replied yes. We found out later that the chips were $3.50 and there was an additional charge for the guac. We still would have ordered it, but it would have been appropriate for the server to mention that. The hot salsa was HOT and the guac was excellent. This was our first stop at Cafe Corazon and we will definitely return another time.
$19 salmon naked burrito very sparse, only 4 small chunks of salmon, a bit of cheese, avocado and loads of lettuce with a sprinkle of rice. Still hungry.
Went for brunch Sunday, had a breakfast tostada, it was good. Drinks were meh. All in all, we had a good experience. Bentley, our server was very personable.
Excellent food but the service are awesome, Emma and Jerry are doing a great job.
Food here is overrated in general, spoken highly of... but just did not have that experience. Our salmon was overcooked and tasteless like it wasn't seasoned. Had a not so great interaction, with our waiter taking forever. Honestly a one star experience, but giving it two because the ambience of the environment was chill.
Love the original location in Riverwest, and so happy to have this option in the Mequon Public Market! Food is amazing and service is outstanding.
Cool place food was good people friendly liquor my only issue for me it cost too much except for the experience
Great food. Best Mexican food have had in ages. Friendly and busy staff. Will go back!
