This place is amazing they have lots of gluten free choices. Supposedly the buffet is about 90% gluten free and the staff is very careful in terms of allergies. They also have excellent choice of coffee and all sorts of snacks and Specialty Products like aspartame free gum.
Decided to try the club sandwich from Cafe Vasanti this morning and I just have one word - DELICIOUS! It was perfection - a must visit for when you are in the area!
Located in a government building, it's got a great selection of quick food. The breakfast is pretty decent but nothing beats their coffee and muffins. Owners are great and staff is super friendly. I love the selection of different coffee that they offer. You don't have to work in the building either, it's open to the public.
Bit expensive and the buffet food is okay. I would recommend the bistro section where they make the breakfast omlettes and sandwiches. The food is fresh and made in front of you. Staff are pleasant and smiling. This place is perfect for if you need a quick access snack, but want to avoid the walk outside in the cold.
Good place to stop for a cup of coffee. Great customer service with a smile. Bright clean store with a variety of hot & cold items on their menu. Lots of gluten free items too. Little pricey though.
My visit was strictly for a quick cup of coffee. Which surprised me on how good it was, moreover this will be my go-to stop for a cup of joe. Smaller size selection than it's competition located there but nevertheless better tasting coffee and reasonably priced out.
Decent stop for coffee. Usually no line-ups and fast checkout which is nice. Wish the coffee would be a tad better less watery and sometimes they don't have muffins ready if early.
They say price is dictated by expensive locally grown ingredients but how does coffee fluctuate 75 cents instantly?? Got a large for 2 bucks last week, then suddenly it was 2.75 and they brushed me off like it was normal. I was told they did this with food which can be somewhat understandable, but coffee? Not even Tim's or McDonald's does it like that.
The staff is rather friendly, and readily available there are usually two working the meal counter, and one on cash. The selection is rather varied; tons of "health conscious" options, and a strange assortment of Polish sweets the owner is Polish, but still, do we really need 5 different varieties of Polish fruitcake?. Vegetarian options EXIST but are pretty mediocre. There isn't any vegan options unless you count buying an apple a "vegan meal". Quality of the food varies wildly. I've purchased the "Vegetarian Panini" multiple times, and each time it was oddly different. Sometimes with olives, sometimes with swiss, sometimes with wilted lettuce, other times with soggy zucchini. On more than one occasion I've purchased their prepackaged sweets, only to discovered they were soggy from condensation, or stale from exposure to air. I also suspect they repackage food as if it was their own. For example, I urge you to compare their "Gluten Free Brownies" to the commercially available "Two Bite Brownies". Yeah, it seriously looks like they just open the package and shove them into a container with their name on them... Honestly, it's the only store nearby where you can get protein bars/powder, etc. It's just gone waaaaaaay downhill in the last three years. They make a mean breakfast meal though!
Everything is overpriced. I asked to REMOVE one piece of bread from a club sandwhich and was charged an EXTRA 50 cents. This makes absolutely no sense and when I expressed this I was just dismissed and the cook moved on to the next customer. Absolutely ridiculous. I should have left the sandwhich on the counter and walked away. Avoid this place.
