Café Hollander - Mequon

Great service, great food, great beer! My wife and I really enjoyed our date night here. Make sure to order the calamari as your appetizer - not to take away from anything else we ate, but that was probably the best thing we had.

Great spot for dinner. Use the NoWait app to reserve a spot so you can stroll in and be seated. Parking is non-existent at this corner shopping strip for the number of retailers there. We had to park in the parking lot at City Hall (signs suggested it), so be aware of that. Service and food were both excellent. I had the Big Smoky burger, medium, which was awesome, and cooked perfectly. Frites were fresh and great. My wife had the Crab and Brie Stuffed Salmon, which she was was fantastic, along with two unusual sides that were both excellent. For those with kids, they have a kids menu and I noticed quite a few family with kids and it's not a quiet setting so it works well. Definitely would recommend and we will be going back.

Expensive $$$$! But you do get what you pay for. They have beers from around the globe. Many on tap. Special mugs and glasses for the individual beers. The food menu is on the healthy side; try out those fries or the pretzels with your beers! Also one of the cleanest bars I have ever seen! The inside, bar, and outdoor seating is exceptional. Even got a specialized bike rack for cyclists since the trail passes nearby.

Went there for the very first time with out of town friends hoping to impress them. Server took our order for drinks and apps and never returned until we had finished our bruschetta and bread. She then took our entree orders which included a tater tot chicken dish. When the entrees were served, the tater tot chicken dish had no tater tots! We addressed this to the expediter who said the kitchen must have forgotten to put them on top and he would return with them. Instead our server came to the table so we asked her the same question and told her also that the chicken was very "chewy" and tasted badly. She removed the dish from our table and said she would have the kitchen remake it. A few minutes later she returned saying the kitchen had failed to inform her that it was "out of tater tots" and would we like something else. The tomato basil soup was watered down and "blah" and we sent that back too. So all in all, extremely disappointed and wondering how a chef can let an item leave the kitchen wrong?!?! This experience left me reeling with curiosity!

Staff is very friendly. Our waitress, Monique was super sweet and attentive. Menu is great with unique items. The Table Bread is awesome! I got the BLT & A (nothing new about this, I just love bacon and avocados and it had both) w/ sweet potato fries. It was fantastic. So if you're ever driving through Mequon, WI and you're hungry looking for something new, definitely give Cafe Hollander a try!
