Come on who serves homemade ketchup in this city? Possibly only Cinq Sens. BKE (best ketchup ever). And the fries are not burned or singed. I repeat homemade fries are large plump and almost healthy. The coffee is good. The music is good. The art is good. The vibe I alright. The value for quality may seriously be the best in the city.

Wonderful and friendly staff. 1990s prices, quality food. This is a little gem in the Ottawa/Gatineau area.
I had the smoked salmon eggs Benedict with salad on a delicious croissant for brunch. 12$
It was spectacular! Will definitely be coming back to try other menu items.
Nice way to start a Sunday!

We found this lovely little restaurant in June of 2017. We have been back about 6 or 7 times. The food is fresh, good, consistent and of good value. The chef/owner takes time to not only use fresh ingredients but takes time with presentation. So far everything tastes great! Try the eggs benedict, chicken pizza and bacon cheeseburger. My personal favorites. We highly recommend.

My husband and I walked in with our 6 month old, quietly sitting in her stroller. We were greeted by a young man at the front who was very nice, asked if we could dine-in. Then an older man, who I can only presume was the owner, without so much as a greeting, said "if you're going to bring the stroller in, I'd like you to sit at the back." We obliged, and made our way towards the back of the restaurant, until he persisted by blurting "do you normally bring that thing into restaurants?" Now, I'd like to add, it was empty in here, save for two young gentlemen seated at the front of the restaurant. The remaining 10 or so tables were vacant. We suggested we could go elsewhere, and he shrugged at us. I'm baffled why someone could be so blatantly rude. If the stroller was that much of an issue, we would have easily folded it up, however we were met with open hostility immediately upon our entrance, why would we patronize such a place? I'll continue to spread this information to as many people in the neighbourhood I know, particularly those with children.

A true gem of a restaurant that I recommend higher than any I've been to. The ingredients are all natural, bio, and high quality. The preparation and final product are apart too good to be true for the price. Here you can enjoy a 5 star quality entree for the price of a supersized McD meal. They could triple the item prices at Cinq Sens and I would still be singing the same praises. Please do yourself a huge favor and try this place if you enjoy high quality and healthy food.
