I recently went to adopt a dog at the humane society. The dog was in foster care and so I had to make an appointment. I was told another person was seeing the dog earlier in the day and that a representative would call if the dog was adopted at that appointment. I received no call and went to my appointment where I met an adorable dog that I was ready to adopt. After telling the staff I was ready to adopt the dog and they were in the process of preparing the paperwork another staff member said that the people who had seen her earlier were there to adopt her. They determined that it was first come first serve and since they had met her first she went to them. So there I was holding this dog waiting to sign the papers when they took her away from me. I understand that this facility is non-profit and that they do a lot of good for the community however, in my experience the staff was unprofessional, and disorganized. I would suggest adopting through a different organization.

My dog passed away after a spay surgery here. I was told after her death that when Dr. Manning opened her tummy up she had inflamed lymph nodes and abdomen, but still he went and did her surgery without notifying me of this problem. This vet is not trustworthy and if you want your animal safe I would suggest going to a different vet. This happened to not only my poor dog, but another one in my neighborhood this year! I so wish I could go back and have never brought my sweet girl here. Protect your animals and do not trust this place. I don't wish anyone to hurt like I am and I am sorry to my dog who died because I trusted this place.

Told me I cant walk/spend time with any animals unless I am going to buy one. First off how would I know if I want to buy an animal before spending time with them? Second off, these animals are lonely and sad, and they should be granted any attention and love they can get!! I do think this policy stinks but now with working with Cache as a foster I think they are awesome in EVERY OTHER WAY.

Staff was so nice. Although here is the problem, they lie to you. I adopted Lily the Jack Russell Terrier. She is the sweetest little girl. We had to go traveling so we took her to the vet to approve her. When we got there they said they pulled up her medical records and they said she had heart worms. It hit me because they said she was healthy at the humane society. So therefore, ask for the medical records because these people are leirs. We had to give her back because we didn't want to see her get even worse or die. So if you are going to adopt ask for medical records. Thanks a lot liers, it pains me to have left such a beautiful dog for your poor honesty.

We love the humane society in Cache Valley. Excellent staff. We adopted our beagle from them and could not have made a better decision.
