One of the coolest outdoor and hunting stores, it's HUGE. Tons of good high wialoty products and a great variety. Only star down is the pricing is a bit high and didn't seem to be many sales. But love the overall vibe.
Really wonderful staff, and a great place that I can also bring my dog to. They have a great pet selection with affordable treats. I also like that their pet gear is made to last. It was also nice to see that they get back to the community by having pictures with Santa around the holidays. It was so much fun to bring my friends daughter who has missed out on the Santa experience due to Covid. She was an absolute heaven. Keep up the good work.
Went in for a product which I was pretty unsure about, Ocean helped me choose what best fit my wants and needs and gave me more real life product knowledge than I picked up from YouTube videos. Unfortunately the store was out of stock and I couldn’t make my purchase. A few days later I called in and put the product on hold unfortunately it was a different colour than the one I wanted. Again both Ian and Joseph went above and beyond to help me locate what I wanted. Unfortunately I couldn’t make the purchase today but I’ll be back once the items in stock
I have always gotten good service at this store. When I have been there, it has always been clean, well stocked and organized, and the staff has been helpful and professional. I appreciate them offering photos with Santa at Christmas. In Calgary, this is one of the best places to take children for a Santa photo.
Had everything I was looking for at a good price. Staff I talked too had a ton of knowledge on products. The guy at the binoculars bench helped me a ton with picking the right ones. Would recommend talking to staff if you need help deciding what to buy.
3 different Cabela's customer service representatives lied to me in 3 different occasions. I ordered 50 boxes of 22LR ammunition. UPS didn't deliver it to my building so I called Cabela's Customer service and they said that they were going to have it set up for pickup. Lie number 1. I then check the tracking number and it says it's being sent back to Calgary. So I call Cabela's Customer Service again and they said that they will make sure the order gets turned around and sent back to me. In this phone call I also asked that if it does get sent back, please leave it for pickup somewhere and they said that they had made a note on file. Lies number 2 and 3. Surprise, surprise the tracking number says it's been delivered to Cabela's Calgary. So I call Cabela's Customer Service for a 3rd time and they said that my purchase has been refunded. After getting told 2 different times that I'd be able to pick it up. So I asked if I can reorder the ammo, and they said sure, it's in stock. Lie number 4. There are 6 boxes of that ammo in stock online, I originally ordered 50. They instantly sold the ammo that was I bought for and was supposed to get sent back to me. Extremely frustrated and disappointed.
The staff are always super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable and if there is something they can't do for you or answer for you they will find another staff member that can. The store is always clean, I'm always greeted by a friendly face upon entering, and I always spend more than I intended because there are just so many great products.
Great selection of our door equipment for fishing, hunting and camping. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable in the stores products. When ordering online and picking up in store the process is very fast and easy
Good outdoor store for fishermen, hunters, and outdoor people. The reason I gave 3 stars is that no one did go the extra mile to answer real questions or help other than the regular lip service "did you find everything OK" mostly deal with fishing dept. I hope I was at the wrong time.
Went in a week or so ago to replace my Cabela's Outback Lodge tent I purchased about 4 years ago. I know some people have these for many more years, but I definitely got my money's worth out of it. Couple months straight in the spring tree planting, nearly every weekend through the summer at festivals, and a solid month or more on Vancouver Island in the fall. By last summer the walls were getting super thin and starting to tear. I think it was Amy who helped me find the replacement. She was super friendly and went above and beyond offering a discount in leu of the circumstances and how much of a fan I was of the tent. Money is super tight for me these days and it was such a huge help and so very much appreciated! Thanks for turning around my sadness and loss into a new exciting tent : A+++ Customer Service!
