[ALERT] So I am in a Dilemma here because she is an old lady but I will speak only the TRUTH I called 3 other barber shops and all were booked. This lady said I can walk in any time. That was the fist SIGN of a bad place that I ignored. Read some reviews and decided to give it a shot. I walked in, the place was empty and dull. That was the 2nd SIGN. I started talking to her about the kind of haircut I wanted - she did not seem to understand anything I was saying - She was just saying OK OK - seemed to me that she was in a Hurry for no reason. That was the 3rd SIGN. I tried to show her some pics on my phone just so that she understands what I wanted. She just nodded and started to cut my hair. Her hands were shaking and I am pretty sure she had a blurred vision due to that huge helmet she was wearing for Covid protection. I realized I made a mistake. But it was too late. My hair was so messed up that I had to go to another barber just to get my hair aligned. My chef roommate would have given me a better haircut with his knife. This is your SIGN. Save yourself P.S. I hope the old lady is able to find a different source of income so that she does not have to mess people's hair to make a living. God bless her.Service: Fade cut

This is a very simple shop but my requirement of getting a simple and great looking cut is achieved here. An old lady is the only person I have seen cutting and even taking appointments over the phone. I visited her few months back for the first time to have a simple and short hair look to suit my face. My wife and I loved the results, so I decided to go every time for a hair cut. My last cut was few days back.

I’ve been going to the Cabbagetown Barber Shop for about a year now since my previous barber moved away. It’s always a bit of a challenge to find a new barber, and Nancy doesn’t disappoint. She always provides a very good cut at a reasonable price, and the location of the shop is also convenient. I have no problem recommending the C.B.S.

IF YOU LOVE YOURSELF, DO NOT GO HERE!!! I recently moved to Parliament street and i was in the market for a new haircut. The lady here had no clue what she was doing, she messed-up my hairline, i still haven't recovered from it. the cliche "barber excuse" of blaming your hair texture and head shape was in full effect. She also raises her voice at the slightest direction of how you want your hair trimmed. The ambiance was dull, i was the only customer in the shop from start to finish of my hair cut. No form of after cut/shave treatment or even the basic alcohol application to the hair shaved. This place is a NO NO and i am pained, based off my haphazard hair look.Service: Head shave

Man was an absolute G waxing every crevice of my smooth cheeks, got me curling my toes real nice. 10/10 do recommendService: Male body hair removal

Nancy has given me the best haircut in years and will definitely be returning as a regular client. Going into the barber shop, I had a certain style in mind and she recommended something slightly different... and I'm super happy. BTW she followed all covid protocols.

Went for a haircut, to basically clean shave my head. The lady there was really nice and sweet, though I feel $30 for a clean head shave is a bit too much. The place is clean and spacious, and it's advisable to make an appointment before reaching the place, as the barbers here seem to be really sticky with your appointment time.

Great place. Gone through several barbers since I first went there at age 8. The old guy living upstairs owns the building and was my dad's barber. I'm 66 now and still go here for my haircut.
