First time here, disappointed. Pho's soup only warm, just enough to make the raw beef not totally raw, not enough to cook it through. Soup should be hot to very hot when it serve at the table. Spring roll was hot, but middle still not cook enough. Pork bun...... pork is dry, and too big pieces, almost choked.Food: 2/5
Very delicious, but surprised that it’s Michellin listed. The braised beef bahn mi was really good with tender meat and very flavourful cilantro. I think it could have been more packed, though. The wings were good, but we thought they were too sweet. The dipping sauce is really the star. Very cute vibes, good for a chill date or small group. Love the decor and atmosphere!
I had the brisket pho which was good, the broth was rich and the broth color was darker than other pho places this might not be for ppl who like clear light broth.Fried spring rolls are good and they gave 2 dipping sauce, keep in mind it’s not the typical fish sauce you get from other restaurants. Chicken wings were good too with a chili mayo sauce on the side.
I have been dieing to try Ca Phe Rang for so long and have followed Chef Rang for years on insta. I have to say the service was amazing, the relaxed server was great, smiles, and suggestive selling made us feel comfortable and not rushed like alot of downtown spots. The chicken wings were crispy and wonderful, HOWEVER the pork Banh Mi was not what I had expected especially from a place with sich a great reputation. Chewy thick cut pork was a miss and the bread was a little crunchier than it should be. I would come back to give the pho a try in the future. Thanks.
I heard this place was amazing through word of mouth. The interior of the place was nice and cozy, but when I looked at the menu I was immediately thrown off by the prices. Pho should never be this expensive, so it better blow my mind away. We got the bowls and I was immediately disappointed with the size. The broth, noodles and meat were all basic nothing special, no reason for it to be so expensive for such a small bowl. To top it off, unlike all pho places, none of the classic viet condiments were available at the table.
Food - It is your standard vietnamese food with a slight twist. I am vietnamese myself, and the Pho tastes like many I had at home and in Vietnam. Same with the Banh mi, I was satisfied but not wowed. However, for the price point. It is a good value, I would say. Service- Quick and professional. Awesome! They also have good deals for delivery which I apperciate.
Such a yummy pho! Get the regular rare sliced beef and stop with your brisket orders ! Also get yourself the big size if your hungry but you won’t be disappointed because it’s top notch.
A little on the pricier side however you cannot go wrong here. The brisket Banh Mi with the pho soup for lunch is the perfect combo that makes you feel full, but not gluttonous. Definitely recommend visiting when in the area. Even the pho is a good options here too. Truthfully, you can't go wrong with anything that's on the menu. I cannot wait to go back and see what the team has been up to and the new things on their menu.
Waited over 40 minutes for our food due to a failed order. Oddly, a later table was served first. And then she came around with two bowls of pho on the tray one for us and one for the other table, she proceeded to walk right past our table to the other table that came in later than us again, to serve them first, even though we were sitting closer. At that point it felt like she intentionally wanted to ruin our experience but why???. We were also left without a water pitcher while every other table, including the party that came in later than us, got one. If her apology was sincere at least, we would’ve thought that maybe she’s still under training or first day of work or whatever, but it sounded like she didn’t even want apologize. The restaurant wasn't busy during our visit, making this poor service even more confusing. reposting because I don't think the first one went through
Came here after all the hype and I’d say yes, they do tastes great! I do think the portion for value is less than what I find in other Vietnamese restaurants in Toronto, but all in all considering the market position and location they’re at I do understand. We tried their sliced beef and brisket pho and the half pound wings, both tasted amazing especially in the rainy weather when we came! The soup is so umami, and honestly with no additional sauces it’s amazing as is. The wings are crunchy, yet juicy on the inside. They served it with this house made chili mayo and I believe it’s coated with sweet soy sauce that tastes so close to home for me. Place is clean, although a bit small. Cute decor with the greeneries, and pretty good service. I might come back another time to try out their banh mi.
