Burgies

I went into Burgies about a week ago and was denied service. The supposed reason I was denied service was because I wanted to take my meal with me. She informed me that Burgies does not do takeout although they have not mentioned that in any advertisements or anywhere else to my knowledge. I asked if I could just wait inside then, as though I would be eating in but the owner's wife whom I was speaking with informed me that that she would allow it but would serve a party of 15 people that had walked in just after me, meaning I had come in first. I asked if I could pay then and come back for the burger later then and she told me no and her reasoning was because she couldn't predict when the burger would be done even though she had just told me 45 minutes. The only thing I can think of is she wanted me to sit down and order alcohol which I didn't want to do. I've always liked Burgies food but this business practice is not only wrong, but she embarrassed me in front of a room full of people. I will never eat there again. She is rude and the food is not worth the price if it comes with stipulations and an attitude.

Service wonderful.. Food was amazing!! Price was very reasonable enjoyable atmosphere just very nice place to stop on our ride threw Michigan down 23. Loved it. Oh by the way half the sandwich going on bike Lol huge and yummy..😉

Friendly staff and delicious food. I don't traditionally even like onion rings but found myself having a second one after trying them. Everything was fresh and prepared to perfection, I understand why this place gets packed!

The burgers ARE amazing! No other words for it. Service is top of the line. It's a small little place and can get full fast but is worth the wait. Great selection of craft beers to try as well.

Saw this place while looking for a good local restaurant to eat while in town for work. I was impressed by 4.9 star review it already had. Its a small little burger joint with a nice patio, so I figured it was going to be good. The menu was laid out in a simple and easy to read manner. I asked the waiter what he recommended, and he said, pick what ever burger sounds the best to you! I kept it simple and ordered the Applewood Smoked Bacon and Cheddar with avocado. The bacon is thick cut, and cooked perfectly. All the toppings were fresh. It was delicious, and huge. I also ordered a side of onion rings since the waiter highly recommended those. Both were outstanding and quite satisfying. Everyone in our party was quite pleased with their meal. Will definitely return the next time I'm in town!
