I want to share the positives first! The food was amazing and the bartender was super nice. The bartender actually made an effort to get to know us and make us feel welcome. The actual restaurant area was tidy and organized. Now the negatives. The reason I only give it a 3 star is because when we went in, we were told right off the bat that they were only serving a limited menu due to a lack of stock. Which is fine, they were serving what my wife and I wanted anyway. The bathrooms downstairs look ok at first, but they smell absolutely atrocious. they smell like someone peed all over the wall and it was never cleaned. And based on other reviews, this seems like a common issue. My biggest issue that made me really tip towards 3 stars instead of four was because of the false advertising . On there website they advertise that their menu is all under 10 dollar . However, I , Ordered the bull Burger with cheese and bacon, and it came to $16 and $2.50 for the cheese and bacon extra. On their website, it is listed that this item only costs $10 with a dollar for bacon and a dollar for a cheese. This makes me feel like it is just some gimmick to get people in the door and then make them feel trapped to pay once they get there. I will attach screenshots with their online menu to prove what I'm saying. All in all, I've had worse experiences at restaurants, but I've also had way better. This place could easily get a 4 star review or even a 5 star review if they tried a little bit harder and didn't lie to their customers.
Bartender was super friendly, offered samples of different beers. I had a really good peach cider. Food was good as well. It's definitely a locals bar but they were friendly to me as a tourist. Nice change of scenery in compared to the tourist ridden feel of the main drag
In town for the weekend. Stopped in and caught the soccer game. Staff was very nice and attentive. We played some pool watched the game and had a few beers. Chicken wings were awesome. Will definitely stop back next time in town. Nice patio also for the summertime and the people at the bar were also friendly. Thanks to the staff for making it a good night
Please do not waste your time coming here. We went on a weekend night and not a single person was there- which should have been a red flag- and the bartender seemed super confused about the menu when I asked questions. We waited quite awhile for our food and it was very below average, especially for the cost $42 for 2 people and then the bartender’s boyfriend and guy friends arrived at the pub. Her boyfriend went into the kitchen to flirt with her not a fan of a random guy being allowed near the food and the guy friends were super loud and wasted. She was also taking shots with them and giving them free alcohol. The bathrooms were in a sketchy basement with no soap and just an all around gross place.
Amazing, friendly staff and very clean environment. Our visit in the summer left such a great feeling that we stayed in a hotel in close walking distance this time so we could come back. I wasn't sure it would be as good but was pleasantly welcomed and treated with an open arms feeling by the girls Shawnee, Shelly and Lauren. We ate wings and played table soccer while great tunes played. This place is a definite WINNER!!! KATHLEEN:
Good place for pizza. Plenty of toppings and a generous size. For a pub that boasts a many different craft beers on tap only a handful were actually available. Has a run down going out of business feel. A shame because it was a favourite spot to go for craft beer.
Honestly, this was a breath of fresh air from the over priced cheap food served around the falls. Has a dive bar felling but with atmosphere! Food wass good and worth the price. Beer selection is good and worth the Monday find. Will be my go to joint when i come down next. Overall, amazing and hard to leave. Honestly a great place to have a pint and reflect of your day.
Really for service before 830pm... Nick was awesome! When he left the new bartender who was involved with one of the customers would give 1/4 shot due the price of a full shot tried to buy 3 shots and then when buying the next shot she said the shots were small because of "dishes".... 1000% nick was amazing... but the next bartender makes me want to become sober..
Great place to go and grab a drink. It's more of a local dive bar, so don't get your expectations up to high. Also, for Pamela Creede, who gave a 1 star review. Just a heads up, most restaurants and bars don't staff for an unexpected large group to walk in. It can affect service. Plan ahead and call before you bring a large group somewhere. We usually go here after work for a couple of drinks and it can get a bit load, so if you are looking for a cozy little place to catch up with friends, this might not always work. There is ample parking at the side of the building and the Bull Market has very reasonable prices for it's location. Every other bar in the area is very expensive.
Not to bad of a place if you're looking to have a drink or two. What makes it a two star and not want to come here is the bartender service. Asked simple question like, what beer is local? And my answer given " just about everything" and she moved on to the next person. Then a guy next to me asked something similar and bartender's answer was let me know when you know what you want and ignored him. Maybe she was busy, but being in a tourist area would be nice to just be a little curtious or staff a little better. Update: Bartender ignores be and the guy next to me after ordering a drink. Wave at her and she says "please don't wave at me." Continues serving other people. Maybe if your 18 or 19 and just started going to places to drink, this will be for you. For a mature crowd or actual real bartenders, go somewhere else. AND just to let you know I'm not a very picky person !!!!!!! Won't come here again if I visit Niagara Canada side again .
