Buddy's Pizza

Buddy’s pizza is one of my favourite restaurants, I just love the vibe that this place has. The food is also amazing, I love Mediterranean pizza and bbq wings the most. Their service is great even if the restaurant is crowded.

Loved the pizza but wish they had garlic powder or some Italian seasoning to put on it. Very buttery crust nice and crunchy outside and soft inside. Sauce tasted great.

One of the best pizza places and the in building dine in service was amazing and fast with very friendly staff. Definitely going back more often to this location. This is a must go if you're a fan of Detroit pizza

It's okay. $15 for a 4 square pizza with paper thin ham and pineapple was definitely over priced. You could get more bang for your buck else where. The wings were also small and over cooked. I wouldnt return.

Okay this is Buddy's Pizza and their pizza and Antipasto salad maybe one of the best in the city. It's pretty hard to have bad Pizza so the pizza is exceptional but I believe their Antipasto is the best ever. I'll give this place five stars for food but I took one star away as since they were bought they have taken a few things off the menu I miss, but overall great place.

A few years ago, they remodeled and it looks great. Great food in general and the pizza is amazing. The prices are a little higher, but if you sign up to be on the mailing list, you usually will get a coupon every two months. I like that the carry out is in a different entrance. The only knock against this place is the waiting area to be seated. If you come at even a semi-busy time, they do not have enough seating area and the seating area is right by the door and it gets crowded. I do not know how they can fix this unless they shorten the bar area. We have been to this place many times and I can honestly say the customer service is usually very good to excellent. Yes we have had sometimes that was not the best, but overall 95% of the time it is very good to excellent service and in my book, that is good enough. If you have never eaten at this place, go know and try the deep dish pizza. Also if you like salads, they have an excellent anta pasta salad.

Buddy's is back to 100% post-covid operations! Tonight was the first time we've been back after Michigan released its stringent guidance for dine-in restaurants. All of the wait staff and the busboys were all walking with a quick step and moving with purpose, and smiles on their faces! That's not something you see all the time anymore. The pizza tonight was excellent! We ordered an 'East Detroiter' adding some pineapple chunks because it sounded delicious. My wife and I noted that the pan edges of the pizza was slightly different than before. The crust seemed a little bit thinner and therefore not as much dough and cheese to caramelize along the edge of the baking pan. Nonetheless, the pizza was delicious. I could really taste the sauce had been supplemented with garlic and fresh basil. If I had any complaint at all, it would be the pizza needed to be adorned with a little more sauce. That's just a personal preference for me, since I now bake pizza at home and I am in control of how much sauce can go on the pie. Kudos to buddies because they had lots of staff, they were all friendly, my glass was never empty, and I never felt neglected at any time. Well done!

I love Buddy's pizza and enjoy the atmosphere, and most servers are attentive and nice, but we always get our pizza brought to the table when it's no longer hot. We wish they would go back to having someone bring out orders as soon as they are done instead of when the server has time to get it in between all the tables they are waiting on. I understand it's hard to find help post covid, but the menu prices have gone up considerably and we deserve to get a hot pizza for the price we are paying. Let alone that the tips are based on these higher prices, so they are getting tipped plenty good, at least by us. 20% tipper1

Ordered carryout from here and the food wasn't that great for some reason. We ordered their Greektown and Eastern Market Veggie pizzas. It looked as though they were maybe rushing while making them. Greektown seemed to completely lack flavor while Eastern Market was quite flavorful. I have had their Margherita pizza in the past which was amazing. I am guessing it was probably one of their off days or something. Definitely worth a try though.
