Lucky to have such a homey restaurant in our neighbourhood. We had goulash and peameal bacon breakfast. Everything we had was so good. Especially the goulash! They only serve breakfast on the weekend so try weekdays if you want to try dishes other than breakfast. The owner of the restaurant and staff are always so friendly and welcoming. Our go-to restaurant for breakfast!
The chef is very kind and funny. Great service. Delicious food. Had a veggie omlet. Very generous portions. Self serve coffee and tea. Free newspaper. Nice music, classic hits. Will come again to try the goulash in the new year. Vegetarian options: Veggie omlet Parking: Small free parking lot.
Nice little family restaurant. The owners are very pleasant. Food was good with large portions. Clean establishment. Super fast service. Drinks are self serve. Prices are fair for the quality of food. They have a few fresh baked treat options which is nice as well. We will definitely be going back again.
The Best breakfast in Kitchener hands down! Huge portions served up with great coffee ... Do yourself a "flavour" ... Come and get some! Great place to eat served by owned and operated by some of the friendliest people in town... Breakfast .. lunch .. dinner !! Parking: Parking available... appetite a must!
Have really liked this local shop over the years for occasional meals. BUT!!! I have recently gotten 3 different meal orders. After leaving with my take out, I started wondering about the pricing. As an example, the breakfast that I ordered was expected around $12 and my bill ended just shy of $20. Now when I try to order I ask the price. The board says burger $7.99 BUT he told me $14 and change. When I asked about it he asked if I want it. I said yes only for the posted price. He said he's busy and needs to go, and hung up on me. I understand prices for everything are going up, please be up front and honest. I feel bad it has gotten negative and do not plan on returning there.
Went here two days in a row, the food is simple but great, the home fries are just incredible ! Very homey and you can help yourself to the coffee when you come in. Everything is decently priced with good sized portions and I will definitely be making my way through the menu to check it all out. A hidden gem for sure and wish we had found this place sooner.
This small hidden eatery is such a delight! The coffee is phenomenal, the bacon is pure perfection, home made jam and marmalade for your toast is divine, and absolutely perfectly cooked eggs. The manager’s quirkiness adds wonderful character. And the price is really reasonable! Service was incredible, and love the help yourself area they have. Seem like such a nice family. $30 for 2 breakfasts. The taste unfortunately just wasn't for me.
Large portions. Eggs were not cooked to my order probably because the cook was overextended. Home fries were swimming in grease. Coffee was weak and self-serve. Peameal bacon and sausage were both tasty.Food: 3/5
A lot of food for a great price and a free drink. The guy is really nice and give the place a great atmosphere. I'd give them a 6 out of 5 if I could Just reading some of the negative reviews. I think some of might be high or mentally ill. The prices are quite fair. Even if they jumped a tiny bit, these people probably don't have the mental capacity to understand the concept of inflation. They may need to go over a quick overview of primary school educational curriculum. For those of you who left a negative review, if you see this. C is for carrot. B is for Banana.
