Tobermory is about 2 hours away from Blue Mountain and 4 hours from Toronto. Bruce Peninsula National Park is an astonishing place as it has beautiful scenery and breathtaking views. We visited The Grotto mid August on a weekday. It requires reservation made in advance even if you are a Discovery Pass pass holder. Our reservation for The Grotto is from 5-9pm so our first stop is to go to the visitor centre where we can obtain a parking permit by showing the staff the Grotto reservation. There is no additional entry or parking fees to the Lookout Tower, Fathom Five National Park and Singing Sand. We arrived The Grotto at 445pm and the staff at the gate issued another permit for Grotto parking. We took the easy path and reached the first stop in 30 minutes where people can swim near the Grotto. It takes another 15 minutes to go to the Grotto itself. We saw many young adults dived into the lake, but I think it’s dangerous to dive in a non diving zone. In fact, there was a diving accident when I head out as I heard people calling 911, my heart sank and hope it wasn’t too serious. To conclude, visiting Bruce Peninsula is a very well worth day trip from Blue Mountain. Highly recommended!!!!
We did two short walks in the Bruce Peninsula National Park - one from the main visitor centre and one at Singing Sands. Parking at both is expensive, $29, but we had a good time. Saw some interesting wildlife - a snake and weird flatworm at Singing Sands. Our five year old is interested in pitcher plants so it was also cool to see one in real life and not in a David Attenborough documentary. Bring your swimming stuff!
One of my favourite National Parks. We camped here last September and hiked the Bruce Trail from trail head to the grotto. Soooo beautiful. The water is cold in The grotto but refreshing after a hot day hiking.
The visitor centre is like a mini museum with neat artifacts. There is a theater where you can watch a short film about Bruce Peninsula National Park. The lookout tower is a thrill if you are fearful of heights. Slight downside... You have to pay $29 to park there and access the centre, tower and trailhead.
One of our favorite campgrounds in Ontario. There is something special about being alone on an island like this. We spent an entire day & 2 nights without a single boat due to weather dropping anyone.
I absolutely love this park. The hiking trails are easy. There are some ups and downs but the terrain is a pine forest. There are lookout points along the trails. When I was there, the water was warm. Its jade green hue beautifully sparkle in the sun.
Nice place to go. Unfortunately I was there when raining too hard to be able to take the fairy and cross on the island .. but the water was so beautiful! Around the national park, there is not so much store, hotel or restaurant and after 20h everything seem closed.
This national park has awesome views and engaging trails. The visitor center has an observation tower, which has good views, it was closed this time due to covid. Views are spectacular. But the Washrooms were not cleaned and it was very dirty and we took the trail for the Little Dunks Bay Lookout Point, the view at the end was beautiful. Totally loved it with my family and would love to see it again.

My wonderful fiance proposed to me while we were in this park, and it literally can't have been more perfect. We were overlooking a beautiful bay over a cliff, taking pictures, and breathing in the air that smelled of fresh pine, lake breeze, and the crystal clear water. The rocks felt cool and amazing because we had been hiking. The forest floor was almost silent with pine needles, but the sounds of waves close by, various species of birds chirping and squacking, reverberating and echoing off of the trees. She couldn't even ask me, as soon as she pulled the ring out i was already crying and saying yes about a thousand times. I will never forget my trip here. I love you, Chloe
