Never will I ever go there again!!! After 20 years of being a customer, I have finally had enough with this place! This place is extremely unfair with their prices! I ordered 2 pies, one pie with only 1/2 chicken topping and it came to $46.64! They had the nerve to charge me a little over $11.00 extra just for the 1/2 of chicken topping! So please tell me how they can charge only $2.50 for 1/2 topping of any other meat and $11.00 for 1/2 chicken topping? It would’ve cost less for 1/2 sausage pepperoni and meatball pie and that’s 3 meats! Their pizza is nothing special! As you can see in my pics, it was overcooked AND they skimped me on my $11.00 chicken topping because there wasn’t even enough to cover 1/2 the pie! Brother Bruno’s, thanks for ruining my dinner tonight
Day one of by 2022 Pocono Mountain Adventure. Today, I just arrived at my AirBnB. The homeowner provided a list of the top nearby restaurants, and he said Brother Bruno's pizza is the best in town. I decided to put his claims to the test and ordered a medium plain cheese calzone, a Sicilian pizza with pepperoni, and a mushroom with meatball Neapolitan pizza. The crust for the mushroom and meatball pie was pretty good. However, you can see that the mushrooms seem pretty underdone in the photo. I like them charged and browned, not pale. Meatballs were okay and the price was fine for the area. Also, I wouldn't call this a Neapolitan pizza. Neapolitan is more soggy, saucy, and has a very specific definition that this clearly doesn't meet. Mercurios is Pittsburgh is real Neapolitan. I don't understand why they call this Neapolitan because it definitely isn't, and they know that. 2/5 The Sicilian was decent. The portion was large and the pepperoni was pretty perfect. Not too oily, flavorful, and big. There was an ample amount of cheese. It's bready, but that's what I expect with Sicilian. Pretty pricy though. Overall, a 3.5/5. I try calzones at almost every pizza place I order from. The calzone here is quite good. It's not too bready, not too greasy, and a great size. Again, a bit pricy, but not terrible for the area. You can expect most things to be pricier here. It's loaded with more ricotta than most places I've visited. Very good calzone, but the marinara sauce is only okay. 4/5 What brings this place down a bit for me is the fact that they forgot my calzone, which took about 10 minutes to remake. No big deal though. It's clearly family own and run. Everybody is an authentic Italian! And it's super popular with locals from what I've seen. My only knocks are that the prices are pretty high and the Neapolitan isn't actually Neapolitan and overall I don't recommend that pizza style. It would be a 4 star review if I only had the calzone. The place is good, but maybe try some other shops near it.
Love the personal who work there . But veggie pizza not too good, I guess marinated onions completely killed my stomach. I farted for 12 hours non stop and my friend do same:
Their food is always soooo delicious! My favorite is penne ala vodka. It's so creamy with a good amount of sauce and fresh tomatoes. And the serving size feeds me for two days. Linguine with white clam sauce was packed with clams and lots of flavor. Shrimp scampi was packed with garlic and at least five large shrimp. The meals come with a salad. And I always find a loaf of sliced Italian bread with my order. Chicken cheese steak and the beef cheese steak have plenty of meat and cheese. The optional mushrooms peppers and onions are sauteed. You can add lettuce and tomatoes. When you pay for your order, you'll be tempted by the garlic knots which are in the display case by the register. These guys are authentic Italian and I find that ordering in person is easier than over the phone because Italian is their native language. They have always been busy whenever I go which I think is a good sign, you know everyone is enjoying their food. I have never had their pizza because I can get pizza closer to home, but when I'm having company and don't want to cook, it's worth the trip and roughly $14 per person to have my guests choose what they want from the menu and then pick it up. Speaking of the menu, if you use Google Maps to find their online menu, I found it to be a bit overwhelming. Seems it lists hoagies, subs, and heroes as separate categories leaving you to wonder what the difference is between a cheese steak hoagie, a cheese steak sub, and a cheese steak hero. However, on their paper menu, hoagies, subs, and heroes is the title of one category...so there's no difference. Also, under cheese ravioli on the online menu, it gives the description for shrimp scampi which sounds like a nice serving of ravioli covered with garlic shrimp. This is not the case, but I'm sure if you asked for it, they would make it for you. Cheese ravioli is just cheese ravioli....no garlic shrimp in a white wine sauce included. I've never dined in, but from what I can tell when I pick up my order, you can fit a party of four comfortably in the booths, but for larger parties it's a small space located in a strip mall. This should not discourage you from trying their menu. I definitely recommend!
I moved here about a year ago and have tried almost every pizza joint in the area. I stumbled across Bruno’s a few months ago and it is by far one of the best pies I have ever eatenand I have had my fair share to include authentic pizza in Chicago and NYC!!We love it so much I consider it one of my monthly bills ! The ownership is in there cranking out some authentic NY style pizzas. The love they have for their business shows! Gonna cry if they ever shut the doors. Cheers to Bruno’s!!! This post is coming from a certified executive chef who has been in the food service industry for over 25 years.
DONT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON GARBAGE!!! My meal was inedible. I ordered chicken scallopini with mushrooms. The server did not check on us after the food was served. She asked if I wanted a box since there was only one bite taken and said no, it wasn't good. They brought the bill and charged me full price. I said I was surprised that I had to pay for a meal that was inedible and was told they would take $5 off. When I looked at the bill, the server wrote chicken scampi. Still no budge. Bottom line...DONT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON GARBAGE!!!
Ordered 2 slices and they looked like they had been sitting there for a week, they tasted just like it.. Ordered a coke and it was mostly ice, even though I told the guy behind the counter, for just a little ice.. The worse part was the price, too much for little quality..
Such a great experience and fantastic food. Had the eggplant parmesan sandwich, fettuccine alfredo and chicken parm dishes. Sizable portions and fair price. Have family local and we'll be back.
We ate dinner at Bro Bruno‘s. The food was excellent!! We got shrimp scampi, fettuccine Alfredo, eggplant Parmesan, small calzone, garlic knots. The dinners came with fresh bread, butter and salads. Everything was delicious!! Owner is soft spoken and nice.
As a native New Yorker this is as close to Brooklyn pizza as I have tasted in the Poconos. Always tasty and friendly service. Our go when we want pizza in the mountains
