This place is located in Sherwood park. It's a vast , well developed and well maintained park. The lake was clean and there were benches to sit down to enjoy the calming waters. The day I visited a portion of the park was rented out for a dance festival with food stalls . Parking is free. A walk in this park is a nice way to unwind and spend quality time with our loved ones.
Brought my kids here for something new. What a great place… Water park is nice, lots of fun with lots to do.. The playgrounds is attached with the rubber floor for protection so you can have one kid in water park and another playing on the playground.. There is one high climbing structure with slide 7 and older Picnic tables or grass are there to sit There is some shade but not lots Bathrooms are available at the arena next door you can also fill water bottles here It’s also right on the pond.
This park is great for kids of all ages! No pets allowed I believe... I love that the splash park, fake rock park, 2 storey slide, playground and toddler playground are all within view of most of the picnic tables. I dont have to move to keep an eye on my toddler, while my big kids play, I can see them too! Bring a shade tent or similar. Most of the picnic tables are in sunlight. Bathrooms are in 2 different, but close by, buildings. Bring food, there are no restaurants or cafeterias here. There are vending machines in the arena, but they are $$$. Lots of parking available. Playground: There are 2 playgrounds and a sand area. A toddler playground and a bigger kid playground. Both are great! Restrooms: Bathrooms are in the Arena close by, or the Rec center on the opposite side of the playground. Mens/Women's. There is no family or unisex bathrooms that I know of. Dog-friendliness: I dont believe dogs are allowed, however you can call the county if Strathcona and ask. Picnic area: Lots of picnic areas! Most are unshaded. There are contraptions intended to provide shade, but due to the sun's position, they don't. Bring a shade tent if possible. Or something to give you shade.
Peaceful, beautiful serene lake in central Sherwood Park. It has a walking path around the whole lake with benches, a bridge and fountains. Plenty of wildlife, a play park, picnic tables and a small picnic shelter for rent for group events. One of my favorite places I grew up here!
A very well planned park, trails and a great place for kids. The spray park is great, they have a picnic site and a beautiful lake to walk around.
Such a great place to walk, no matter the season. In the winter they have the trees lit up plus they have an ice rink where the running track usually is. The spring it is filled with lots of geese and goslings.

Beautiful winter walk with cleared paths and skating. Lights/Decorations for pictures. My daughter loves walking around here!
Great family friendly spray deck and park. Perfect for a picnic on a sunny day. Would recommend later afternoon or evening on a week day as less crowded.
The park has longest slide that you cannot find anywhere else in Edmonton. They aslo have a small water playground next to. Enjoy weekend here !
