A solid breakfast-centric restaurant! This is a modern and inviting little spot on the corner of Northland Plaza. Their menu is predominantly sandwich based, with a large selection of classic and unique options. There are one or two burgers on the menu, along with a few vegan and gluten free options if I recall correctly. A few options when it comes to sides such as waffle fries and onion rings, and a good amount of drinks to choose from like bubble tea and coffees. The interior is clean but relatively small, and the service is pretty quick and friendly. The food itself is tasty, we’ll prepared and presented. The portions are on the smaller side given the prices but still acceptable. Washroom for paying customers only, and parking is easy to find in the plaza. I was happy with my experience here and I recommend it for anyone looking to have a tasty, lighter meal!
The Kale salad was a stand out- lots of crunchy bits and the saracha is the kick it needs to come to life. Onion rings had a lot of crunch and batter but still light and not heavy or greasy. Waffle fries were well seasoned. The Chicken sandwich was tender and well flavoured, very satisfying. The Basic B was a good breakfast sandwich, maybe could use a bit more of a crunch but still good. 4/5 only because the portions were pretty small for the price.
We had the hot mess burger. It was so freaking good! The waffle fries are the best I've had. The person taking our order was super helpful and knowledgeable ob the menu. I love the interior decor and style.
Came across this place while I was in the neighbourhood and though I'd stop in. It was not busy at all when I was there, so lots of seating to choose from. Very modern and basic with bright yellow walls inside, but lots of natural light from all the large windows. They also had a cool mural on one of the walls. The staff was quite friendly and helpful; service was also pretty quick. I wasn't sure what to get so decided on the vegetarian option. It had an Impossible veggie pattie, which was cooked well but very basic. Toppings were lettuce, tomato, carmelized onions and a special sauce, which were all delicious. The bun was also nice and soft. All in all, pretty standard and run of the mill. It was not bad, but pretty pricey for just a basic veggie burger - $14 - so I didn't really feel like I got my money's worth. It came with a small cookie, which was soft and fresh, however any sides had to be ordered separately. Overall, I feel it's a bit too hyped up and overpriced. Perhaps their other sandwich options are better, but I wouldn't go back for a veggie burger.
The food was delicious. Good service. I kind of wish the portion size for the Vietnamese coffee with boba was larger. The only thing is I have a suspicion I may have gotten food poisoning from here. I didn’t eat anything else that morning and started to have GI distress by the afternoon that lasted a couple days… I’d still say it was worth it. I just don’t know if I’m ready to give it another try yet.
Bro's To Go in Varsity, a sibling restaurant to Bro'kin Yolk - 10/10 ! We had The Shorty - Beef Short Rib, Egg, Crispy Onions And The Lola - Longanisa Pork Sausage Patty, lettuce, tomato, and egg We also had the Spiced Waffle Fries and Vietnamese Iced Coffee with Boba Both came on a gluten free potato bun that was soft, pillowy and delicious. Everything tasted amazing and homey. The waffle fries were cooked perfectly and spiced perfectly, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The Vietnamese coffee was sweet and delicious, the Boba tasted fresh and they had oat milk as an option! They also have a $10 lunch deal for students! I definitely recommend visiting this place and 100% will be back.
I recently came here with a friend for the first time and had a great first experience. The staff were friendly and brought out the food promptly. The food itself is pretty good even if it’s on the more expensive side, especially the drinks. Overall, this restaurant is a great place to drop by for a quick lunch.
Fantastic new breakfast sandwich shop with amazing food. Everything is fresh to order, at a reasonable price. Nothing kept in warming trays here! Had the hot mess spicy chicken sandwich and the shorty braised short rib with an onion ring and both were fantastic. Delicious coffee too! Owned and operated by two brothers and is truly a local business. Very friendly staff, clean spot and well decorated. Bit far from my home in the SE but so worth the drive. Definitely check it out!
First off, great friendly staff. The food is unique and handcrafted. Check the website for pics of the food. One drawback is that there is limited seating only 5 or 6 tables but it doesn't lose a star because their mission is in their name "Bros' To Go!" This is a great addition to the Bro' Kin Yolk empire!
Ordered two weeks in a row. We tried chicken sandwich, mushroom sandwich and the shorty. Chicken and mushroom ones are our fav - so moist and flavourful. We found the meat in the shorty sandwich too smoky with no other flavours but that might be our own preference. If it wasn't for that, I would give five starsFood: 4/5
