Good place and I had a fairly good overall experience here I attended high-school and college here from 2009-2017. The only thing I wish was that the school was more focused on faculty activly publishing in their field, like producing books or writing in peer reviewed journals and such. From time to time when I check back on the faculty I see that not a lot of them have really published anything in quite awhile. I've been to other schools, even Christian ones, where the faculty have several articles coming out throughout the year, but I don't really see that amongst the faculty here. Even people with PhDs eventually have their PhDs "go stale" after awhile and, if they're not actively publishing or researching their field and publishing on it, then students aren't really getting the most up-to-date information. Even the benefit of knowing that the ideas of faculty members are being peer reviewed would be a benefit to students in knowing the ideas have been vetted. Also, depending on what you want to do, Briercrest might not be the best option for you or it could be unhelpful. For example, if you want to be a pastor or in ministry, it's a good option. However, if you want to go into something you could get at a normal university, you might be better going that route. This might be because people might view the "Christian" aspect negatively and it could do more harm than good on a CV. So that's something to consider. Lastly, while I think maybe the teaching of the Christian values might be good, I think it can be more helpful to teach students how to think better rather than what to think. So it might be better to have some critical thinking classes focused on how to think rather than what to think. Students should be able to reach conclusions for themselves rather than being led what to believe. I would think that God would have some interest in making independent thinkers that arrive at conclusions themselves and so you could see that as a justification for this point. Other than that, good school.
A life changing education. I would not hesitate to recommend this school as the best option for Christian Higher Education in Canada.
Enjoyed a bus ride with my girlfriends to attend a Christmas concert there. First time I ever attended at this lovely huge place. There were tables of crafts for sale plus some food for sale. The show was funny and heart warming. A lovely way to spend a Sunday
A wonderful God fearing place. Would not hesitate to encourage my grand kids to attend. May God bless you in all you do .
If you are looking for a small school with Biblically-based teaching in different disciplines then Briercrest would be a good fit. The Profs are well qualified and the level of academics is equal to or even higher than many secular institutions. Would strongly recommend this place to my friends.
A place where God's Word stands forever. A place of growth, filled with love. A place of transformation.
Have been there many times it was a very uplifting experience I really miss going there
Literally the worst school in Canada. Same size as LGS JT. Shabba JT.
