This place is incredible. From the food to the decor everything was well thought out with their clientele in mind. The seating is extremely comfortable, and design is well suited for the space. The food is tasty and just right to match their drink menu. Servers are fantastic and friendly. We have been back on multiple occasions and consider this our go to spot in the city of Welland. Love it!! You gotta check it out!
Wasn't expecting to find a great brewery in Welland. Bridgewater has a spacious indoor spot and a good-sized patio with a firepit and lawn games available. Friendly, prompt, attentive service. The food was exceptionally tasty, pizza, beet salad, giant pretzel. Tried deep fried stuffed olives and they've become one of my favourite appetizers. Expansive selection of cocktails and draft beers. Definitely will be returning.
Great brewery, they had a great selection of beer and the food was so tasty and filling! Definitely recommend for any fun occasion! Staff was kind.
Our waitress was kind and professional. Our food was delicious! We ordered two separate Flights beer tasting and the the beer they brew on property is phenomenal. The cider was so refreshing. Very clean, inviting and contemporary look. Welland has needed a place like this for a long time.
Bridgewater Brewery restaurant is an absolute delight! From the moment my wife and I entered to the moment we left, Bridgewater proved to be a fantastic and rare experience. The perfectly prepared and luscious food was fantastic. My wife loved the wine, suggested by Joel. The Management and team have a rare attention to detail and exceptional quality that was prevalent at every step. The dining room and patio are welcoming and comfortable, with friendly & knowledgeable wait staff always available. The single unit restroom facilities finished to perfection and sparkling. This is only the second review I have ever posted, however this experience was a delight to be shared. Nick even gave us a personal tour of the brewing facilities, sharing his extensive knowledge and passion for their Welland enterprise. You may want to call for a reservation, as I am confident this treasure will become more popular week by week. We can't wait for our next date night. The destination will be an easy decision :
We have been going here occasionally, for a few months now, since they opened. What I find is the servers are ALWAYS happy, helpful and attentive. They are always trying to make sure you have everything you need. The food has consistently been delish! Some of our favourites are: the whipped feta apps, fried olives apps and any pizza - they are all great. We usually get the one with arugula & prosciutto and of course, the pepperoni & cheese. You gotta try the espresso Martini's here! They are great - not overpowering and a perfect pick-me-up. As for the beer- we aren't crazy beer drinkers, but I'd have to say I can enjoy a Liftbridge Lager anytime. They crafted it to be so refreshing and light- it just goes with anything on the menu. They have recently added a warm pretzel to the menu, and that was the perfect pairing for me. The pretzel was the size of my head - it could be sharable, but you probably won't want to after you've tasted it. The venue itself is awesome. There is a spot for everyone, including your furry friends. They have dog - friendly patios front and back. The back patio comes equipped with a fire table, blankets on the fire-table chairs, corn-hole and ladder-toss as well as picnic tables beside beautiful mature trees. There are even citronella plants for those dinners that turn into evenings outside, to help keep the bugs at bay. They really tried to think of everything for our comfort. Inside, the chairs are super comfy with beautiful wooden tables. It is clean and airy, with a modern touch. They have live performances there often and they are not too loud- so you can enjoy both your dinner/company and the performance. It's always a great time when we visit and we look forward to going. I'm so happy they opened and have created the atmosphere and delish food they have. When deciding where to go out in the area, we always end up going there. UPDATE: I just went there today to try their new chicken fried sandwich.....don't walk, run to get this!! OMG! It is so tender & juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside with the perfect sauce. I'm still thinking about it .. I probably could have eaten 2 to myself! And then I topped it off with the warmed "sticky toffee pudding" - which was more like a cake consisting of creme fresh and carmel sauce on the side, so you can drizzle as much or little as you'd like! These 2 are now my 2 fav dishes! I ate the cake too fast and forgot to take a photo. Yes, it was that good.
It was good experience, pizza was so good. Servers were decent. Overall I was happy, the only thing is past time when I ordered that pink coconut milk refresher, it was more coconut milky and colour was more light pinkish. I guess depends on the bartender, it was more clear than last time. Unless I ordered different one!
Firstly, the food looks great. I ordered the Bridgewater pizza which tasted amazing. Looking around at every dish going to the different tables they all looked really good. It was very busy on a Friday night, about a week after it opened. 3 beers on the list. I tried the beer flight and liked the lift bridge light lager a lot. Easy and smooth. The decor and ambiance is fabulous but be prepared for a lot of buzz and noise due to the high industrial-styled ceiling. They are set up like a bar with cocktails but have limited liquor options which I am not sure if it's on purpose, or as the server said - “it's not that kind of a place” for fancy shots
Best brewery in Welland! Great beers, tasty food, friendly staff. Treat your self and go there now. Highly recommend.
Great new brewery in town with great food, great drinks & friendly & welcoming service. Glad to see a brewery in Welland that we can walk to!! We showed up with a group of 8 of us and no reservation and we only waited about 20 minutes for a table. They aren’t taking reservations from the public yet, just for close family & friends. Only three beers right now but that’s understandable for just Opening. The server told us that there will be 7 more coming in the next few weeks as they iron out the kinks of just opening. The food was fantastic!! Everything that came out of the kitchen looks delicious. We ordered calamari, fries, prosciutto pizza & Bridgewater pizza. Very very good. Next time will definitely try the charcuterie & mussels- it looked SO good!! The beers were also delicious! Limited selection right now as it takes time to brew beer, but wow they were all good. The key lime pie mojito and a pink lemonade cocktail can’t remember the name were also very tasty! Definitely a must try brewery! Just keep in mind they are brand new & just opened. Have some patience & understanding when you try it as they are still getting in the swing of things.
