California burritos are not often found outside of San Diego and we are excited to share this concept with you here in the Midwest! Brick Street Burrito features three homemade salsas. Roja mild. Caliente hot, or Verde green should accompany each bite of your burrito in the true “San Diego way”!We also offer a variety of burrito and bowl options, tacos, quesadillas and fresh chips and guac! We have a few vegan options as well as beer and wine options! Our canned beer and wine is available for carryout so be sure to stop in before the next event in downtown Valpo!"

My fiancée and I visited for the first time last night and the experience was lovely. The staff was kind/attentive and we had virtually no wait time for our food to come out. My California Chicken burrito was amazing, though I do wish I had asked for a spicier salsa the mild was very tame. Otherwise it was a lovely experience and I think this location may become a spot we visit often. Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegentarian options and the staff aren't shy about advertising them. Parking: There's a small lot nearby behind the city building that can be used for parking. Wheelchair accessibility: The doorway is a little small but there aren't any stairs so I believe someone with a wheelchair could enter easily. Dietary restrictions: Plenty of options that are advertised as such. Keto, vegetarian, fish, etc.
Unfortunately, this place has gone downhill. I used to live your food! Whoever is cooking is using an insane amount of oil. I got the fish taco and my friend got the steak, they were placed in the same container the steak on top of my " mahi mahi" and my taco was covered in steak. It was also dripping grease/oil whatever it was cooked in. Fresh fish does not smell fishy. The taco was very disappointing. The steak nachos were good. The last few times I've gotten food from here it has just not been as good as when it first opened. I have been to California and had this style of food many times. This just wasn't up to par.
Brick Street Burrito is terrific. The Surf n Turf was beyond phenomenal. Staff was friendly and the wait was non existent. I look forward to trying more of the menu.
They put too much hash browns in their breakfast burritos and they are very dry. I've had other burritos and they were delicious. They do offer sauces with their burritos and those are very good also. Always ask about the "burrito of the month." It's a crazy concoction not offered on the menu and is different each month. They are fantastic depending on your taste. Parking: Parking is limited street-side.
I absolutely love the surf and turf!! The morning cashier was so sweet and it was a little busy but she was working her butt off to make sure all the customers were well taken care of. Definitely recommend will go back for more surf and turf!! I also want to try the carnitas the morning cashier made my mouth water when she told me I should try the carnitas the next time I come.
Gave them a try a year later in hopes for some change.. the steak just does not sit well. My hot Cheetos burrito came with no toppings other than the steak and chips. You can get better steak for half the price from any store, a $2 bag of hot Cheetos, and $3 pack of tortillas and it would be significantly greater and cheaper than this place. Idk how their reviews are SO good. I couldn’t give the leftovers to my dog. Sorry. I’m 100% a hater for this but good lordt I just threw $12 in the trash and I’m still hungry. Highly regret cheating on my authentic Mexican burritos from El Amigo…
Love their food! The surf n turf is my go-to, but the burrito of the month always tempts me. Seriously, once you try it, you'll be hooked. 10/10 Vegetarian options: They do have at least one vegetarian option which is quite good.
The food was pretty good, I had the 2 in 1 burrito. It’s rolled chicken tacos in a burrito : Different than your normal Mexican style burritos, so if you are craving a rice and bean burrito then this isn’t it . But the food is good !
Excellent Addition to downtown Valparaiso. I've been here numerous times, and yet to finish an entire burritothey are huge! I think some people in the area are unfamiliar with the California Style Burrito concept. It's recommended to pair your favorite homemade salsa with every burrito bite!
Thank You Jesus! Excellent Cali style burritos that were fresh, fast, and exactly what I was craving! Got the Surf and Turf and it was perfect! Try it out as fast as you can!
