I'm a chef who travels for work and frequently visit Elkhart. Stopped here at 5pm on a Monday. Had the Pork/Elk Chili Nachos and a Nashville Chicken sandwich and diet coke. $33.17 before tax & tip. The good: 2 step fries were great color and a sizable portion, not crisp though. Nashville Chicken had a good flavor and crunch but not brined or seasoned internally. Pulled pork was tender and flavorful. The not good: couldn't have been more than 2 or 3 ounces of cheese sauce on nachos. Literally just meat, smattering of sauce and raw sliced jalapeños. 50% of the chips had nothing at all on them. Slaw on the sandwich couldn't have been anything but cabbage and mayo. Zero acidity or sweetness. Tasted several days old. Pickle spear was some weird flavor between bread & butter and sweet gherkin. Summary: service was pleasant and waitress on the patio was attentive. Overall not a place I'm likely to ever revisit with that level of poor food execution and value. Seems to have decent bones and maybe they do better in their beer trade.
Really great salad and amazing burger. Pastrami rueben sandwich was also quite good but standard. Beers were good but nothing to write home about. Great spot and nice to sit outside, even in chilly weather. Really nice service and sweet with our kids.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: Yes
Excellent service and exceptional food! I’m very pleased with the brew and the food. Highly recommend for a date or friend gathering.
Brass Elk Brewing offer an incredible atmosphere outdoors along the river and inside. I had the Ahi Tuna Nacho starter and Peanut butter and Jelly desserts which were absolutely delicious! However, my husband had a hamburger that was petite for an adult. We had great customer service, making our visit nice.
I came here for the first time this weekend before a show at The Lerner, and I'm so glad I did! Where to start...the cheese curds? *Chef's kiss.* The Breakfast Smash burger? SO good! The cocktails and beer? Delicious! The staff was also insanely efficient and very helpful. It was a fantastic first experience here, and I recommend it 100%!
We just went to The Brass Elk for their first brunch service, everything was very delicious and cooked perfectly! My kids had the loaded waffles with fresh fruit and a tri-berry syrup which they loved! I had a mimosa and the fried chicken and waffles with a lite sriracha maple syrup! The chicken was cooked perfectly, very juicy with a awesome crunch on the batter! Would recommend The Brass Elk to everyone for brunch, lunch, dinner, or just to go out and have a few fresh drinks or in house crafted and brewed beer! Great family atmosphere!
The food was excellent and the mixed drinks were good. We were disappointed with the brews here and the service was disappointing. We did not get our flights till we were about 1/2 half way done with our meal. Nor the best experience.
Had a wonderful experience last night! Our server was fast, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered the fried deviled eggs, mushroom sandwich, Nashville chicken sandwich, Reuben, and turkey sandwich. The food, beer, and cocktails we ordered were great. The deck is nice a spacious and they allow dogs in the outdoor dinning area. Definitely coming back again soon.
The food is absolutely outstanding; the pretzel sticks in particular are best in town by far. Service at the bar was kind of slow which wasn't an issue as we weren't drinking much, but if you were out to have more of a night then that might be a factor. Fantastic experience over all though!Food: 5/5
Beer was good, waitress was very nice. The food was a bit lack luster and overpriced for what I got. I ordered the imperial burger. The fries were soggyFood: 3/5
