My visit to your Emergency was one of the best experiences I have ever had. Everyone was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, thorough, caring…. Triage and Level 7 nurses were amazing, CT and X-ray tech were very nice and patient. I was seen in a timely manner and tests were done quite quickly.nDr. Laidley, I can’t say enough positive words about him. His friendly, caring, ensured all proper tests were ordered. He also took time to learn about my life and provided support and referrals to ensure I had the proper follow up support once I left their Emerg Department.
Population of Brantford is rising and they seriously need to fix the healthcare system here. Everytime my parents had to go here due to an emergency, the wait time is more than 7 hours. Doesn't matter if you can't breathe due to pneumonia, you will be stuck in the hallway waiting for someone. Dad had to have part of his lungs removed and might need to be hooked up to an oxygen tank for the rest of his life. We will never know if it could have been prevented if he received proper care on time. They need to fund this hospital and make the process and services better for everyone. People don't go to emergency dept to waste time. It's called emergency for a reason.
“Emergency Department” in name only.nnArrived at Brantford General Hospital at 1:00 AM with difficulty breathing and was told the wait time was 6 HOURS. Let that sink in. If someone shows up in the middle of the night saying they’re struggling to breathe and your response is “wait six hours,” then this is not an emergency department — it’s a waiting room with hospital branding.nnThe process was slow, cold, and robotic. Multiple people involved just to register, zero urgency, zero reassurance. The unspoken message was clear: your condition isn’t our problem unless you collapse.nnBrantford has over 120,000 residents, yet this ER runs like it’s serving a small village. The city somehow finds money for speed cameras and red-light cameras everywhere, but not for enough doctors to staff an emergency room safely. Priorities couldn’t be clearer.nnThis isn’t about one nurse or one doctor — it’s a systemic failure. A failure that leaves patients scared, gasping, and questioning whether staying is more dangerous than leaving.nnCalling this place an “Emergency Department” is misleading at best and dangerous at worst. If you’re actually worried about your health, think very carefully before trusting it.
All the hospital staff is nice and very helpful, pays attention and care. You just have to be patient and prepared for hours of waiting, which is pretty normal these days everywhere.
Rude staff waiting 8+hours no care went in for a mental health crisis and nurses are cold and straight up mean. Brantford needs to put more money into Healthcare because this is ridiculous
