I would like to take this time to thank the staff at Branford River and Spa for the wonderful services they offer. Their profound professionalism in the work place is a credit to their owner's dedication and commitment to providing excelsior services to the clients they serve on a daily basis. Having done business with them for over 25 years and exploring many other spas around the region, there is no comparison. Branford River Spa exceeds my expectations by far!!! As a medical professional I take pride in providing optimal care for my clients as I have witnessed here at Branford River and Spa. With any business their maybe someone looking to falsify information, however I could attest to the upmost professionalism of this establishment and have and will continue to recommend their services to others.

Worst deep tissue massage I have ever had. I only put one star because I can't put none. When I called to make the appointment, I told the girl I need someone with strong hands for deep massage. I got an owner who just scanned the surface of my back. She was contorting my legs up doing nothing but exposing my junk. I have been getting deep tissue massages for 20 years and this was by far the worst. Then she tried to up sell me into a membership. Whaaaat? Are you kidding me. Save yourself $95 bucks. Waste of my time and money.

I want to thank all our customers that have been coming into our spa for over 35 years and continued to experience wonderful massages, facials and spa treatments.  Unfortunately, there may be a client that has expectations beyond the scope of our practices and expect services that are not lawful and will make false accusations onto our spa, its owners and team workers which are fully disparaging and derogatory.  This devalues years of dedicated work in  the therapeutic massage and spa industry.  Because of HIPPA laws our spa will not directly discuss a review posted negatively on Google or other social media.  But will only post stating our spa is a professional and will handle this negativity and slander through legal means.

This is a spa that I attend frequently, especially in CT. One of my favorite parts is the infrared sauna. It is a truly great bonus--you can use it before/after any treatment free of charge (I usually use it for about 15 minutes before a massage or facial). They have a beautiful sitting room where you relax and wait for your service that is usually just occupied by one person (unless it's a couple's massage). Once or twice a year my boyfriend and I go for a couple's massage and we really love the way they structure and provide the service. It's very private and comfortable, and they choose nice wine as an amenity. The staff are always professional and polite, and they have a wonderful shower for use at the end of any service. The reason why I wouldn't give it 5 stars is because it is very close to the road. Overall, you cannot hear much noise, but there is some from the busy road outside. I would certainly recommend this spa to friends and family.

I've been going to the Branford River Spa for close to 2 years now and have had nothing but good experiences. Even when I come in with different ideas for holiday themed pedi's. Doreen always accommodates my requests and schedule with a smile. I am particularly thrilled today with my Halloween themed nails! I love them!

This is not a glossy chichi salon if that is what you are looking for. It is homey, cozy and intimate. And the owner and staff care that your happy.
