I have been attending group for years here, and the staff has always been kind to my children, and myself. They are very professional and very discrete. This is definitely a safe place to go. Through them I have learned a lot, and will continue to work closely with them in order to keep moving forward. Because they were there for us and provided a safe place, my family and I continue to grow and move ahead with our lives. Thank you to the amazing staff at the shelter house!
I have been going to the support group at the shelter for several years. The staff are the most kind and caring. They have always been very kind to my children and always handled any problems very professionally. If you need a safe place to go this is the place. They treat you like family and always keep in contact
Has fair prices, nice holiday assortment. Not obnoxiously crowded. Nice choice of bake goods, eggs .66 cents! Staff is busy but friendly. Overall, good experience. My first choice of grocery stores in my community.
I have lived at the BCCADSV house two times being a victim of domestic violence and I highly recommend this place for people who are a victim of any kind of abuse. Kim goes above and beyond for anybody as much as she can. She is working basically 24/7 so if you know her and see her please tell her thank you for directing such wonderful organizations that help people get out of bad situations! They have many more helpful services even for teens and young kids. Kim saved my life and i couldn't thank her more!
The Branch County Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence seeks to engage the whole community in taking responsibility to end domestic violence. The Director and staff strive to empower victims of domestic and sexual assault through many outreach programs that will help victims become survivors. The 24/7 emergency shelter provides a temporary safe haven for anyone fleeing a domestic or sexual violence situation, the staff is caring and well educated in providing an understanding helpful resource in such sensitive traumatic situations. As every person's own trama is unique and different, I have always been impressed by the caring skills, knowledge and experience the advocates of the BCCADV show their residents, present or former. This agency is changing lifes.
I just want to share with everyone anyone who is looking for a safe place from your abusers- this is "NOT" the place to be- we were living here for a bit -A family came in with two boys they were very abusive to my child polking him in the ribs, calling him ugly,hitting while he was eating i had ask their mother to please get your kids away from my child she gave me a sacastic look and grab her kids by the arms but the kids went back to my child hit him in the ribs while he was eating my child would not eat because of this family -my child felt afraid to go down stairs to eat and play. i talk to staff about it-"even the DIRECTOR"and they said "Deal with it its call communtiy living". Two days went by the abuse got worse. I and the staff "SARA"were arguing because i express how i felt about the way they allow these kids abuse my son -the argurment got intense and they called the cops and they esorted me and my child out the door at 10pm at night. This not a safe place.
We donate all of our stuff they will pretty much take every and anything of value because these women need things when they finally break away from their abuse and they have nothing I highly recommend them they're very nice people
I have been attending group here for a little of a year and i have to say from what they have taught me and what we talk about it really has helped me in my own personal battle. This place has made me stronger as a person and most diffenetly as a mother.
I think this is a wonderful place I donate all of my good quality items to them because we don't need abused women in Branch county or anywhere else in this world
