I understand that everyone shares their own experiences and it isn't the same every time but here is mine :nnI have taken an online course and I'm pretty happy how it went although one feedback is to please make test results available after the student finishes so they can learn what they need to study better. Staff were always quick to reply to my emails. Even my books came pretty fast in the mail. I might have said something that I really didn't mean in one email I blame pregnancy hormones and apologize for that haa but none the less I am happy to have been accepted into the program and completed it. Teachers vary from their methods and how involved they are? But Celine Provost was the best :nnThank you Bow Valley College.
By far the worst online schooling experience I have ever had, absolutely no support or help from anyone, had a professor straight up ignore ALL my emails for 2 semesters. This school just wants your money since they offer online, but cancelled all my classes on my and threw me into in person class to read information, no teaching actually provided for me just the information. This school is a money grab, watch yourself because they will screw you any chance they can get. Also you want me to do work experience over Christmas break????? no way
DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL. It seems cheap and short, but if you’re going to go to school and take out loans- DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE. Since I started I've learned the offices do not actually care about their students. They just pass students off to one another. It’s like a never ending cycle. It’s also right next to the largest homeless shelter in the country, which you’ll only learn once being enrolled here. Some of the teachers were really nice and flexible with their deadlines. I’ve been enrolled for one term here and I’m transferring to U of C. I live on my own, my parents don’t help me, I don’t have time to waste but the school loves wasting time and making you jump through hoops to get answers. It’s NOT worth it, you’re better off at MRU or U of C. Would not recommend.
Horrible experience !!nIn September 2021 I went through abundance of discrimination because they put the plagiarism on my exam just for the sake that I was written exam in high language , therefore the authorities said that they don’t expect this much from an international student . When I went to program chair , she repeated the same however she didn’t even listen to me and put academic dishonesty on me without any proof.nnThe instructor and program chair delayed me in every perspective. Moreover , when I got up to attend the meeting with VP they just said that you are quite late for taking an action.nnIf you are an international student , they always try to make feel depressed out of no clue and proves .nDefinitely gonna recommend SAIT over BVC.nI wasted my two years here . If you experience any kind of discrimination try to change college rather than just working ideal.
Long wait times at every office, unhelpful and unfriendly staff who seem to ignore questions, and a lack of support for students are serious issues that need addressing. Students' rights are being diminished, and the overall experience is frustrating and discouraging. Immediate improvements are necessary to ensure fair and respectful treatment.nnI paid for short courses here and very disappointed.nnSuggest to considering alternatives.
