Boustan West Island

It's typical Boustan food but with one exception. The owners are legitimate good ppl. The one time I went, their CC machine was down and they had a sign up that said Cash only but I don't carry cash. As I started walking away, they immediately flagged me down and asked me to come in. They said they would take my order and wait til the next time I come for me to pay....on the honor system. No IOU or anything. Definitely surprised by this unexpected non-Montreal hospitality.

Very full sandwiches filled mostly with cabbage but still a very good value for the money. Ask for hummus in your sandwich & garlic sauce on the side... This way you can control the "greasy & garlic breath factors" between bites. Tried it like this one time & I will never go back to having the garlic sauce put into my sandwiches again... Staff at Sources Blvd range from exceptional to disgusting! There are a couple of arrogant guys who I have witnessed behaving very badly towards their co-workers & customers. I refrained from blasting them because their interaction with me was positive but I believe that no one should be working in the hospitality business if they disrespect their customers & co-workers. Note to servers: Treat all your customers with respect & develop a thicker skin so you don't take comments personally... Often people try to be humourous & may speak out of their derriere but its not meant as a personal attack on you. As for your co-workers, treat them as you would want to be treated; with respect! They're trying their best, even if it isn't good enough for you. Help them to be better & faster by teaching & encouraging; be positive!

I never leave one star reviews. I usually love Boustan but avoid this location. Been there once got food for my employees and we all got food poisoning the next day. I went again, since I wanted to give them a second chance, but it happened AGAIN! Go to Boustan on St-Charles, they really live up to the name, like the original Boustan from Crescent St

Terribly dirty setup. Knew at once that it was a bad idea, should have refused to eat a microwaved meal in a plastic plate. Felt sick all night and today have terrible symptoms. Unacceptable. This location should be shut down immediately. I will certainly report this. Disgusting. If they are handling food this way at the front, I don't want to know what is happening in the back. Not to mention the guy was touching everything with his bare hands to boot.

GREAT FOOD AND FRIENDLY STAFF - the creation sandwich is deliciousssss - clean and welcoming area - quality and price is sooo worth the visit - located in nice subburb attract nice crowd - free parking infront of restaurant - accept every method of payment
