Boulder Campground

Here we go. Back on the trail of the largest, biggest, tallest, widest!! Illinois' largest lake. Another gem. This time, a laundry facility for your quarters. Free showers, campsite electricity, the usually campsite amenities. No walking trails here. Did spritz around on my bike. Better spot for boaters and fishing people. But......peaceful.....ahhh! A small camp store at the marina. Beware of the evening flying creatures. They don't attack. Playground: There are a couple of them. Restrooms: Really nice. Dog-friendliness: There were some dogs on leashes walking their pet parents. Picnic area: I large day use picnic area.

Loved it!!! Unfortunately it was only 3 days . The Host was awesome her n her husband were very helpful. I will return n I hope the same hosts are there. The view was better than I could ask for. Sites were clean. The bathrooms/showers each n every time I used them. Always very very clean n they smelled great.

What an amazing campsite! Beautiful location with stunning sunset views over the water. The facilities were cleaned every day and very well maintained. Firepits come equipped with an adjustable grill, so cooking is very easy. If you are planning on going to Eldon Hazlet State Park, the drive is under 30 minutes. One of the nicest campgrounds we have visited!! We will be back!

Such a cute place and the people running out are so sweet and helpful! Sites are right off the lake so is perfect for boating and swimming areas are a very short drive away. I wish we could have stayed longer than one night but we will definitely be coming back. Pricing is great and the owners are the best

Spent last weekend camping with my family. We all loved it.

Best place I've ever went camping that I can bring my dogs with me. Even got to swim with my dogs in the lake. Great prices for an electric campsite.

Clean facilities, beautiful view of Carlyle Lake. The campsite not close to one another so you don't hear your neighbors. This is our go-to campground at Carlyle.

Love this campground. Great sites right on the lake and bathrooms are very clean and there are showers as well. I also noticed laundry facilities but did not use.

Medium sized USACOE campground in southern Illinois on Carlyle Lake. Park hosts are friendly and helpful. All but 8 sites are power only. Be sure to fill your water tank when you arrive. Campground is next to a large boat ramp and marina with a small store.
