It’s a lovely patisserie with high quality desserts and confections. They are typically quite busy so be prepared to wait in line and wait again if you are ordering hot drinks. I really love the danish and the pear caramel tonka dessert is truly incredible. After going here several times I can say that their service is what is most lacking. I experienced some micro-aggressions by the person helping me because I wasn’t from here and it felt a bit uncomfortable and made me nearly cry after leaving. When I returned with my Québécois partner, we were treated a lot better. I understand it can be frustrating to deal with a constant line of tourists some of which can be rude, but to roll your eyes at someone who lives in the area and is trying as best I can to learn and speak French my third language is an uncomfortable experience and nearly prevented me from returning, were the pastries not as delicious as they are. I have no issues with exchanges in French at any other businesses in the neighbourhood and wonder why the worker treated me with hostility after learning I lived here. Please be more considerate of your patrons. It would also be helpful to package the patisseries with more care as they were all destroyed when they arrived home and it’s such a shame because they’re really quite beautiful!
I had un pain au chocolat for breakfast, and it was for take out. It was flaky, and light. There is enough space for seating area. I want to try other pastries next time!
What a fantastic collection of baking goods! We wanted to try so many things! We tried a few pastries and they were excellent! I had a mocha which was excellent as well. Although the only vegetarian sandwich available was a garden sandwich that looked dry, we were hungry and decided to try it. It was surprisingly good and very flavorful. Loved the place and will definitely come back to try the remaining pastries.
What an delightful place! We came back each morning of our vacation. The antidote for all the cafés that, seemingly, get their pastries shipped in from overseas or something. Fresh and delicious, wonderful service!
Very nice bakery with authentic flavors. Definitely worth try it out while visiting Quebec City
