If you are visiting Montreal you need to visit St-Viateur bagel. Authentic Montreal style bagels best eaten with a hot coffee and cheese cream. The staff was amazing they figured out that we are visiting for the first time and offered us assorted bagels and few extras for no charge.

Fresh and classic! Got a free cream cheese to go with my dozen everything bagels! Took them all the way back to Toronto. Made bagel chips with the stale leftover ones!
A Montréal institution! Great variety of flavours. If there is one bagel bakery you should visit, it’s this one. Fairmount Bagels is also well regarded.
The bagels were sweeter than any I tried and had a more chewy texture. I had the blueberry one with cream cheese and my friend had the sesame seed one.
