I was looking for a French patisserie experience, and this place delivered on what I was looking for. They have a huge assortment of baked goods, you will definitely be spoilt for choice. They have multiple counters for checkout, and I had a very swift checkout experience. The place looks chic, with beautiful display of bread, baguettes and pastries. It has plenty of seating as well. I tried the chocolatine, it was flaky and filled generously with chocolate. Definitely recommend this place!
This place has a wide range of sweet pastries and buns. There are fresh breads and baguettes. Also, you can buy there a coffee or tea. And, if you are hungry, you can order tasty sandwiches or delicious pizza. Recommend place.
The bakery is part of the Humanite hotel and is new and rather attractive. The food display is great with a large variety of breads, pastries, cakes pizzas etc. The two pastries ordered were very tasty but the coffee was not. It tasted bitter/burnt. I specifically asked that the 2 pastries that we orders will not be too "brown" since some of the pastries and some breads seemed to have been left in the oven a bit too long. While the cashier said yes, I ended getting overbaked pastries despite my request. The cashier was probably new and had difficulty finding the keys on the register for ringing up my order and did not know whether AMEXCO credit card was accepted. We were there at lunchtime while it was raining so the dining area was rather busy. We had to share the long table with barstools with others. To my surprise, the only two best tables that are couches for 4-6 people each around round tables were BOTH taken; each by a single employee on their meal break! The 2 employees did not even share one of these spacious tables that could have very confortably accommodate them both. I find it surprising and in poor customer service that the employees do not leave the "best" tables for the paying guests during peak times. One of them did not even bother to clean the table after her meal for the next user. Customer service training seems to be lacking here...
An amazing spot for pastries and fresh breads! So good we went here twice! Friends ordered an olive bread and it was so soft! And nice aromatic smell of olive and dough just emits into the air when you open up the bag. Ordered a smoked salmon bagel with some cream puffs for my son and daughter which was just leveled up in terms of taste! The cream puffs had a soft choux pastry and the cream was light OG course had to order some of the pastry tarts because they just looked to tempting! Had a key lime, blueberry, strawberry and apple. All the tarts had a nice firm yet soft to the bite crust and the custard inside was creamy and combined with the fruits, just so light and fresh! The key lime was nice and citrusy but still felt light with the custard Service was super quick even with a line up thst built up super quick! Would definitely say that you should come a little early, but if not, just wait about 15mins and the line just dies super fast as they have so many staff to filter through all the customers and their orders! Super clean and the service was very efficient! Definitely a recommend when in Montreal! Great job overall! Follow me on IG @thirst_and_taste for better pics, vids and more amazing content!
The Boulangerie Ange is located in the same building that our hotel was and could be accessed with out needing to leaving the building. So, it was naturally convenient to go for breakfast there. We had a croque monsieur and chocolate almond croissant along with a hot chocolate. The food was great, the drink was really pretty weak and tasteless. Another time we went the Chai latte was equally tasteless so can recommend the pastries but would pass on those 2 drinks at the very least.
Excellent staff, will assist you what the best pairing is for what pastry and coffee combo. Amazing pastries, sandwiches and pizzas. Perfect spot to enjoy your morning
I did not go to this bakery because I was hungry, but just wanted to be in Paris, visiting a gourmet “patisserie”. This is indeed a great place to scream quietly with delight, looking at all the array of freshly baked pastries. A feast for the eyes! For Epiphany, which is celebrated 12 days after Christmas, they had loads of galettes frangipane, otherwise known as galette des rois. This is made with two circles of puff pastry, with frangipane sweet almonds, butter, eggs and sugar filling. Sooo yummy! Believe me, you do not need a reason to indulge. It comes with a crown - which is very traditional. Be careful, when you take your bite, as they contain a small charm, often a porcelain figurine hidden inside the cake. We tried other pastries and have to report - simply delicious. Thumbs up for the cleanliness.
They have a variety of options. The almond croissant was good and the apple tart too. They have a very nice seating area. Definitely a go-to place
BLT bagel had one piece of undercooked bacon on it. Definitely was not freshly made. Service left something to be desired; claimed the latte machine was broken when it wasn't. 2 stars was for the croissant, which was actually good.
Freshly made bakery goods. Croissants, baguettes, tarts, pizzas, salads, sandwiches, wraps, and coffee. Good central location in tech industry and close to old Montreal. Good in-dinning space to work.
