Everything was delicious, and in pretty good quantity for the price. Quality of food was great, and presentation of the side dishes was superb! The ambiance was such that it made this the perfect spot for korean restaurant. Would highly recommend!Food: 5/5
Delicious food, good price point for quality authentic Korean food. The restaurant is clean, well lit and spacious. Servers are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The staff are very efficient and we did not wait long for our food to arrive. The dishes were plated well and bonus points for pretty plates as they looked amazing for the food photos. Food had good proportions and were flavourful. The seafood soft tofu soup had the most ingredients I have ever had at a Korean restaurant and with a delicious kick of spice. Unlike many restaurants that use way too much flour in their seafood pancake, the seafood pancake at Bori had a nice crunch and was refreshing with the green onion base. Overall, the atmosphere is great for families and friends. I can tell Bori puts a lot of care and effort into their dishes and you will walk out satisfied. There is ample free parking around the neighbourhood. Will be back soon to try their other menu items.
Love this place. just opened and so tasty. Had the chive Pancake and spicy pork bulgogi. Both excellent. Will come back to try more things soon!
Delicious and authentic Korean food in North Vancouver! The bibimbap, bulgogi, and kimchi fried rice were phenomenal, and the wait staff were incredibly kind and gracious. Would highly recommend a visit before it gets too popular!
The food they serve gives off a comfort food vibe. I always eat the entire dishes with no scraps leftover because the seasoning is well balanced and meets my preferential standards. I would recommend any non-Koreans or Korean dish lovers to dine in this restaurant often. You would be missing out on some traditional healthy dishes the restaurant provides The servers are also sincere :
Delicious Korean food-We love this place! The short ribs, garlic soy chicken, and potato pancake are delicious
Bori was amazing from the decor to the food. We tried a few of their main dishes with the chicken being a personal favourite. The sides were fresh and great to have between dishes. Staff were very friendly and quick with our orders. Decor was stylish and made you feel at home and welcomed. It’s a bit of a drive for me but I will certainly come back for more!!
Bori is the BEST Korean restaurant in the lower mainland. Their dishes are so flavourful and the environment is very homey. You can tell they care a lot about their customers, both by their customer service and the thought they put into their food. So many options that I haven't seen at other Korean restaurants. A must try!
Bori Korean Restaurant is a beloved dining destination for fans of Korean cuisine. Located in a bustling part of the city, the restaurant has a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a friendly staff. The menu is filled with a variety of dishes to choose from, including classic Korean BBQ, spicy stir-fries, and comforting stews. One of the restaurant's specialties is its bibimbap, a hearty rice bowl topped with an array of vegetables, protein, and a fried egg. The restaurant also offers a selection of soups, noodles, and small plates to share. In addition to its delicious food, Bori Korean Restaurant is known for its extensive selection of Korean beers, soju, and other traditional drinks. Whether you're a Korean food enthusiast or just looking to try something new, Bori Korean Restaurant is the perfect place to satisfy your cravings.
I was very excited about a new Korean place opening up in NV, the price was a bit high but I figured since the place is newly opened, the perfect time to try it would be now. The restaurant is simple and clean, adorn with baskets of orchards to celebrate their grand opening, making me excited for the meal that’s about to come. We ordered bulgogi and seafood pancake, food arrived promptly since we were the only table at the time. Portions for the dishes were shockingly small for how pricy the items were, both dishes were also very bland and singular in flavour. The side dishes were below average - radish kimchi was too fermented, bean sprouts were bland, and the garlic chives were far too fibrous to break up with my teeth. Bulgogi $26 had a sweet and slight soy sauce flavour, onions in the dish were undercooked and nearly raw, 80% of the volume was taken up by glass noodles, cabbage, onions and carrots. Nothing like the juicy, tasty, meaty treat one should expect from proper bulgogi. The seafood pancake $26 consisted of an even layer of green onion, along with a thin layer of batter, topped with 5 pieces of puny shrimp, same amount of squid, and some strips of imitation crab..to pump up the amount of ‘seafood’ in this pancake I assume. The edge of the pancake was nice and crispy, but the entire middle was soggy and oily. The dipping sauce…the only saving grace of this pancake..was barely passable as it appears to be made of a light soy with sesame seeds. The raving reviews on this restaurant are just downright confusing, some say this is very authentic Korean food. No, that is incorrect, anyone who‘d set foot in Korea can tell you this food simply cannot compare. Others say the price point is amazing for what you get. I would have to respectfully disagree. Overall, we spent $70 on 2 dishes and left the restaurant unsatisfied. If you are in North Van and in the mood for Korean food, I’d recommend Busan Daeji Gukbap on 3rd for their wide variety and tasty flavours, as well as South Castle on 2nd for amazing value and their specialty - soondae.
