Had my car worked on by Booth St Auto Service for the first time this week for an alternator issue/replacement and service was quick, honest and impeccable ! Even before dropping the car off, they took the time to ask questions and provided great advice. They also noticed/added windshield washer fluid without having to ask or point it out. It is all in the little things and it is now my go-to garage ! Thank you so much !

I have mixed feelings about the service here. At first I thought I was getting taken care of really well, but now I also feel like I have been a bit taken. We brought my wife's car here after she smelled burning oil. I was out of town and the guys did a good job communicating with me over the phone to tell me the issues and for me to give my concerns. First they suggested we replace the transmission oil pan. I thought that was odd, since it is no where near the exhaust for it to cause a burning smell, but they said there was oil all over the underside of the car and that was where it was coming from. After we got the car back it still smelled so we brought back and explained it was still leaking. They kept the car for a day and sprayed it down with degreaser and determined the valve covers where leaking. So we fixed those. And the smell went away, but not for long. 1-2 months later the smell returned. During that time we moved from Ottawa so I cannot just simply bring it back in. So I checked for oil leaks and saw the valve cover was leaking again. I replaced the valve cover gasket myself this time. When I took the cover off I found that they didn't use any gasket maker where they were supposed to. It calls for it in the factory service manual. $37 later and 4 hours of my time later it's fixed properly, but I paid close to $1000 for the work they completed. Classic case of cutting corners.

Friendly, honest service. Good prices, nice explanations. Unfortunately they just too busy most of the time to accommodate your repairs within a reasonable time frame.
