Great space to come and enjoy a very pleasant dinner! We were sat in the patio and it was just so nice, they even have heaters for colder nights. The food was very nice and we thoroughly enjoyed everything that was brought to our table, including the drinks! Our waiter was beyond attentive and very charismatic, just excellent service throughout from everyone. Would definitely recommend!
Absolutely great! The service was above and beyond! It felt like we were visiting family despite it being the first time we'd met. The food was outstanding, well balanced, great portions and great flavors. We will definitely return to try more items on thier great menu!
Delicious Italian food, friendly staff, and great atmosphere. 100% recommend for a date night or if you're looking for some good Italian food. I don't eat meat but they accommodated my dietary restrictions.
Visiting Bonterra was a fantastic experience. The staff were attentive and very friendly. The bartender had the best recommendations for really unique drinks, and they produced an earl grey gin, drink, topped with white chocolate foam. It can’t even be described by words As with previous visits to Bonterra, the food was unique, fresh, and made in alignment to Italian tradition. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and in the warmer months, you should definitely try and snag a spot on their patio by the outdoor fireplace.
After a mix up from our hotel concierge, we showed up and had no reservation. It was a Sunday night and the place was packed! At first they were not able to accommodate us, but the very gracious manager told us she will make something work. She was able to squeeze us in at the bar counter. She salvaged the night! After all we had walked over 20 minutes to the restaurant from our hotel. She was so incredibly kind throughout our entire dinner. Our food was delicious and everything seems to be cooked to order right at the open kitchen at the entrance. The entire staff was working very hard to ensure everyone had a good dining experience. I highly recommend a visit to Bonterra if you're every in Calgary.
This wonderful setting in downtown Calgary will always be one of my favorites. It feels like you aren't even in the city and are sitting on a Tuscan patio in Italy. The staff are very knowledgeable and attentive. The food is top notch and the flavors are always a delight for the palet.
10 out of 10 for excellent atmosphere, service and amazingly delicious food! They were able to accommodate gluten free and vegan choices for those of us who requested it. The appetizers were delectable, no pictures because I forgot. We had Tuscan White Bean Dip, creamy and nice amount of garlic. Boar Pate with fennel and spiced apple sauce on a bed of watercress. Outstanding flavor! Roasted mini Pepers, delicious! Wild Salmon was a special and was very tasty. I had Mushroom Ragu with Linguni a vegan request.There was a delicious Risotto and other entrees ordered at our table. Desserts were yummy. Olive Oil Cake with Mascarpone and Raspberry compote, Vanilla Gelato with Espresso, etc. We will certainly be back!!!
We went here for our daughter’s birthday. The service was great and the atmosphere was nicely decorated. The food was ok, price definitely on the high side for it portion and taste. Although, their focaccia bread was so good! We do have our favorite Italian restaurants and this is not one of them.
The ricotta and foccacia was quite nice and light with lemon. Had the duck which was a bit too salty and on the drier side. The tiramisu was very good. Service was great and the atmosphere is quite nice.Food: 4/5
Our first big dinner out since March 2020. I spotted them after shopping at MEC and thought “I love their patio!”. Convinced my partner to walk over and see if we could be seated without resos. We lucked out!! I had the 4 course tasting menu, and our fantastic service team helped me pair the meal with champagne and wine. An amazing impromptu evening. Beautiful vibes, people, food and drink. All the things I’ve been missing!
