Boise Parking Tickets

These people have no mercy! I was parked in an area that I thought was a free zone in front of the post office on Bannock, ran in for five minutes to drop off a package and when I came out I was ticketed. I tried to appeal and explain my situation and it was denied. When I called about it I was left with no options but to take the ticket to court, which would require additional fees. They simply told me the decision couldn't be reversed. Parking tickets are important for the city, but in situations like these it's a little ruthless! A warning should be issued instead, especially if you just forget to press the free 20-minute button on the meter and are hit with a ticket less than 5 minutes after you park.
