My husband and I purchased 2 online deal vouchers for 60 minute full body massage at BodyKind Massage Therapy Studio in Edmonton. After 3 weeks of no one answering the phone or getting back to voice messages, we were finally able to make an appointment for both of us to get a massage at the same time. The evening before our appointment, they called and cancelled because they did not have 2 masseurs for both of our appointments. We rescheduled for 2 weeks later. On that day, when we were on our way to our appointment, they called and cancelled again for the exact same reason. Despite our reluctance, we rescheduled for the following week. This time we made it to the massage studio. We were told that one masseur was available and the other one was on his way. 15 mins into our appointment we were still waiting for the other masseur. My husband suggested that i get started with my massage and he will wait for the other masseur to arrive. An hour later when when i was done with my session, my husband was still waiting. The other masseur never showed up, we were lied to and could not complete our appointment for the 3rd time. Not to mention, my appointment was awful. The full body massage was infact only a massage of my back and was excruciatingly painful. She used extreme pressure and I am sore and in more pain now than before the massage. All in all, this has been by far the worst massage experience we've ever had!
Showed up at 5.15pm for a 5.30pm appointment. Waited till 6.35pm and my "therapist" decided to not show up. So if you want to get ripped off for nothing, then this is the place for you. If not, take your money else where. If there is a process to complain to the dept.of health i would love to do that. BodyKind can go eff themselves. *WORST PLACE EVER*
I would not recommend BodyKind. They are hard to get a hold of on the phone and takes days or even weeks to get back to you after you leave a message in their answering machine. They use billing numbers that do not belong to the staff member that performs the massage because some of the staff do not have a massage registration number that's recognized in Canada.
