I have been haunting the Boardman Library for some time now, and wanted to offer my thoughts and support. I have to say that this is a real gemstone in the Mahoning county, and one of the few things I will greatly miss when I move. The Youngstown/Boardman library offers a lot of great programs and services that are just invaluable - especially given the declining local economy and lack of some of these services elsewhere. You can borrow DVDs and Blue Rays, including popular TV series and new releases. They offer local computer use for those without home computers, or bring your own device and use their WiFi. Of course they have books and periodicals. The staff here has always been nice to me, and are to be wonderful people. They are always happy to help and answer questions when needed. If/When there is a problem they are always willing to talk and hear any concerns and try to help resolve issues. They offer great Computer and Internet services for young and old alike. If you need to access email but do not own your own computer you can use your library card to access public computers here. Or, if you are like me, you can bring in your own laptop and device and access their wifi through that. Best of all, they have mobile hotspots you can get for up to a week at a time to take home with you, and in the part of Boardman I live in where the only high speed internet company is overpriced and worthless, this is a godsend. I keep trying to suggest offering to rent these hotspots out to library members in good standing, as this could also help generate revenue for the library. They have a great selection of DVDs and Blue Rays to be borrowed (I am sure CDs too). The shelves often have new releases, and the 3-day hot picks. They have taken requests for movies, and also through their links with Search Ohio, there is very little that is not available. This makes having a library card better than a movie rental club really. It also lets you see if you like a film or series before buying one for yourself. The Youngstown Library and it's Boardman branch are a solid gold asset to this community. If you live here in the valley, you really should become a member. I haven't even mentioned all the special events and weekend programs they offer...

Great library with a great kids area, study rooms and area and an outdoor play area as well. Room to expand if user traffic picks up
